Meet Danny Duffy - the barber from the UK and a member of the Booksy family. Read as Danny talks about his profession.
How (and when) did you get into barbering?
I started barbering when I left school at 16 after working in a barbers for two years previously as a Saturday boy.
Some people say that being a barber is not a profession or a hobby, it's a lifestyle. Do you agree?
Yes definitely, the relationship between barbers and clients is very unique. And that’s what I like the most about being a barber – the social side of barbering. I truly believe that a good rapport with clients is a key part of this profession.
Who has influenced you the most in your career? Do you have an idol?
Schorem barbers are a big influence for me, traditional cuts with a modern twist.
