The Time is Right: May Holiday Promotions

Mayday! Mayday! May is rapidly approaching, bringing with it lots of great holidays you should be prepared for. The weather is getting warmer, it’s peak prom season for high schoolers, and here are a few fun holidays you can choose to celebrate at your shop:  

May 4th - Star Wars Day, aka May the Fourth

May the fourth be with you! Let your inner geek be your guide with John Williams' music like "Imperial March" and gadgets from the movie to bring people to the shop! Also, all clients with Star Wars swag could get a discount on your services. 

Other ideas could be battling tip jars- clients can vote for their favorite character or film by tipping for that result. The concept with the largest tip wins at the end of the day. Perhaps an R2D2 as a Reserve 2 Discount 2 special can be used: reserve two bookings that day (by bringing a friend, adding a service, buying a service package, etc), discount both bookings.

May 13th - Mother’s Day

The second Sunday of the month is Mother’s Day in America. Why not show mothers how much we appreciate everything they do for us? One idea is encouraging clients to visit your shop with their mothers or with their daughters (why not both!) for this special occasion and for a nice bonding experience. Another option is a special discounted gift cards for mothers- making it easy for clients to thank their mothers with a little TLC.

May 19th - A Good Deed Day

  Show your clients a bit of kindness by offering them a discount on their services,  and you can expect a fully-booked calendar on that day. Just remind them to pay it forward!

May 28th  - Memorial Day

source: sunny.org Many appreciate Memorial Day as a long weekend for outdoor fun and barbeques. But it’s also important to remember the sacrifices many citizens have made for the US. Tastefully show your respect for troops by honoring active soldiers, veterans, and loved ones with free upgrades and military discounts. 

More importantly, give people a chance to share their stories and celebrate the memory of those who are no longer with us.
