Let me preface this review by saying she can slay your nails but she’s beyond unprofessional. Let me also say this review is lengthy because I’m beyon...d annoyed and don’t appreciate people taking my calm and chill demeanor as one that implies you can take advantage and walk all over me. I should have stopped dealing with her when she accepted my deposit for a 4 pm appointment and then tried to act as if she didn’t know when she sent the request on cashapp and no appointment can be confirmed without her permission. She then proceeded to say that she had a fill in and she’d be right with me (lies she was doing a full set) but didn’t start until around 6pm and I didn’t leave the salon until around 9. This, by the way, was not the only time something like that has happened. I also should’ve questioned her professionalism when my gel polish started peeling after less than a week and she proceeded to charge me $30 to fix my nails after saying it was probably due to the top coat she used. Yes you added crystals to my nails but had my gel not been peeling I wouldn’t have had to get those nails with crystals fixed. But, foolish me, I continued to book with her. Now on to the real issue. On October 31 I text Janay to book with her (pics included) because I couldn’t find her on Booksy where I normally book and I let her know I couldn’t find her. Shortly after texting her I found her Booksy but still had issues booking. (My service is sketchy at my job so at this point I’m thinking the technical difficulties are with my phone not Booksy) I accidentally booked the wrong date and time and let her know during our text convo that I booked incorrectly and was trying to book for that Saturday but everything was blacked out as if Saturday was unavailable and sent a screenshot. She changed the appointment for me since I couldn’t. The day of my appointment and 12 am she texts me to reschedule because her son was sick and said I could come in on Monday which was inconvenient for me since I work late during the week. I asked her to reschedule for the 17th and got no response so I tried to do it myself. Again, those days were “unavailable” so I booked for a Tuesday when I knew I’d be off. A little over a week before my newly scheduled appointment I learned I had an event to attend so I requested an appointment change to that Saturday since it all of a sudden was available . I text when I didn’t receive confirmation through Booksy and received her response (see pics) and an email saying she denied that request and changed it back to Tuesday. Since this was not going to work I requested a refund for my deposit because I was going to find someone else to do my nails (see the pics for text message exchange). She told me she wouldn’t refund me even though the deposit being non-refundable is stated nowhere and I called. She claimed it’s not a policy but she’s not refunding due to me changing my appointment “so many times” and her being a “businesswoman”. I let her know that wasn’t a good business practice and that she canceled my initial appointment. But because I wouldn’t let her just tell me anything she told me I would not be getting my deposit and hung up on me. She then sent A screenshot of text messages between conveniently cutting off where she canceled my appointment. She said I could reschedule my appointment for my next day off but she would not refund my deposit. HOWEVER, when I tried to reschedule to an earlier date she denied that request which was what led to me asking for the refund in the first place! She ended the convo saying she would refund me in 7-10 days (doesn’t take that long to receive her deposit on cashapp but okay). Two weeks later and still she has my money. Maybe she treats other customers better. Maybe you don’t care about professionalism as long as your nails look good but beware. If world class service is being a liar or not keeping your word to “guests” then yes, that’s exactly what you provide.

Due to the fact that I like to provide world class services to all my clients and guess deposit are mandatory and non refundable .. Deposits are used for services, cancellation and or future services. Thank you
