Soft Glam Makeup Application

Makeup and hair application was booked tor my mum at 5.30AM for everything to be ready by 7.20AM. The makeup artist came on time and communication was... prompt and flexible when finish time needed to be moved to earlier time (7.30AM to 7.20AM) during the time leading up to the booking which i really liked. However, the whole application took 35 minutes to complete and was totally a rush just to get it over and done with. It started at 5.30AM and completed at 6.05AM. I believe normal application would take at least an hour if not more. I clearly communicated that we needed everything to be done by 7.20AM which was why Lyn replied that she will be at the location to start makeup and hair at 5.30AM so everything can be done on time at 7.20AM. After this has been confirmed, why did it only take 35min to finish if not a rush? When the application was done, the makeup looked cakey and hair was just simply curled up. This look would suit a normal outing better than an event which was clearly stated at the time of booking. My mum does not normally do her makeup and hair so she just went with what was recommended by the makeup artist but as someone who does makeup and hair professionally, greater care would’ve been put in to make sure the client looks great and not rush through the job that was paid for.
