Derailleur Adjustment

I never knew this place existed until 2 days ago when I discovered it on the internet and booked an appointment to have my derailleur adjusted. Short...ly after I arrived at the shop, Sean appeared and informed me that he doesn't generally do work for a customer while they wait, but that he would have a look at my bike this time, and attempt a quick adjustment. After making some adjustments, he took it for a ride and found it still wasn't shifting properly. He found a lot of dirt on the drivetrain, and decided to take the back wheel off and clean the cassette, chain, and derailleur in a solution. He also found something lose, which he tightened, lubed the end of the shifing cable and housing, the chain and sprockets, and installed a new chain clip, because he felt that the old clip could be part of the problem. He then took it for another ride and found it was shifting better but there was still some issues which he said would have to be addressed later, with a complete tuneup. I then took it for a ride and found it, to my amazement to be shifting perfectly! He only charged me $10.00 for the new clip, and said he would get me later when I bring in the bike for the tuneup, which I could not believe. I found Sean to be extremely knowledgeable about bicycle repair, and how a bike should perform while riding it. I found him to genuinely care about making the customer happy. I think he did an excellent job on my bike, and I will definitely be returning soon to get the tuneup and also for any future repair work, Dr Cycle you're the best! Show more
