Joao really surprised me with the quality of his service. I pulled up to a normal looking middle class home and knocked on the door. As I headed dow...n into the basement, I thought "what am I getting myself into." Then I saw his barbers chair and his wide array of tools, the photographic light setup, and I know this guy really cares abou this craft. Joao is from Sao Miguel, Portugal. He moved here and got a job as a construction worker. When you book with him, you find out his true passion is this. He is a true artist. Meticulously choosing the right tool for each step of his process, he takes your mess of a beard and mop of hair and carves a work of art. He spent an hour crafting a great look for my beard, which I admit I have always been nervous of trimming. I've always had bad experiences letting barbers on google trim my beard. This was a 10/10 experience. Not only did he do an excellent job on the haircut and beard trim, but he also did a straight razor shaping of my hairline, and a hot towel facial in between. Then he did a photography session for me so I could show off my new look. Joao should have his own mens spa. Show more
