I'm going to do my best to cover my experience and hopefully address some others. :) Over the last year, Ahmed has become MY barber. That is to say... no one else touches my hair and it's become that because of his level of diligence, attention to detail and his real understanding of what I want even when I wasn't sure. lol. I travel 45 min to get to Ahmed and while it would be great if he was 5 mins away, I don't hesitate to make the trek. I try and have my haircut every 2-3 weeks for some perspective. I used to have Ahmed closer but when he made the transition to Nex and he let me know, I stayed committed. On the Nex side, the shop is beautiful and welcoming. A fresh espresso while you wait or while you're getting a cut is a nice bonus. If espresso isn't your thing, they have a variety of offerings. Prices are extremely competitive and you never feel rushed. They've done it right. I've read through comments and only want to offer this. If you were unhappy for any reason, give them the opportunity to make it right. If you refuse to let them work on improvement then shame on you. They are trying their best to do it right and that in today's world is not always easy to find. Ahmed has been in the country for a short period of time and while Arabic is his first language, he is trying hard to learn English and if needed, merely ask and he'll make that effort. He also speaks a little Spanish as well. Secondarily, we've had some deeper Q&A utilizing a translator app. It seems shocking but has led to some good discoveries about each other and the culture. Nex is my choice of barbers today and moving forward. Give them a chance to impress you and I'm sure that they will! Show more
