Boy does Peter have the atmosphere. Fortunately I am one of those that can remember and appreciate exactly what Peter has created, a true vintage bar...ber shop. The only thing missing was the board the barber placed between the seat for me to sit on. Being the first time having my hair cut here, the inevitable question as to how I wanted my hair cut. Since I wanted an experience, I said it's up to you. It's been a long time since I said that to a barber. One clear memory quickly came back, While visiting in Arizona. I was getting a haircut and casually mentioned on the short side. Minutes later i was turned to face the mirror and realized that I had been given a buzz cut. It wasn't until I walked outside and notice that I was right opposite an army base. I have never selected another barber shop anywhere near a military base. After discussion on a number of interesting topics I was turned to face the mirror. My heart drooped. I hadn't had a haircut this short since Arizona. Also to my horror , my part had virtually disappeared. I quickly gathered paid my generous seniors price and stepped outside. Wow my head felt cold without its flock of hair. I hesitated to take another peak in the car mirror. Oh My. It was time for public opinion. The initial reaction to most was wow, you had a haircut. This meant it was noticeable and because there were not negative comments, it was a positive move. or, were they just being polite? The jury is still out. But the big question is, would I return for more experimentation? The answer is yes. But next time I'll be a little more specific in what I would like. This way we should be able to find an acceptable compromise Show more
