My barbers in Wakefield closed down and after 15 years of going to the same place I was looking for a new barbers. I read the reviews for Mr Coopers a...nd decided to give it a try and I'm certainly not disappointed. Gemma the barber/hair dresser certainly knows what she's doing and she takes great care to make sure that you're happy with what she's doing. I'm not disappointed with my new hair cut and Mr Coopers will be my new barbers for the foreseeable future. Show more

I took my 18 month old for the first time last year and he wasn’t too keen. I thought the car seat would have helped but he cried all the way through.... Gemma was very patient and carried on and cut as much as she possibly could. Based on Gemma’s advice after this first cut, we went a second time, he was a bit more settled but still wasn’t too sure and we still had some tears, but not as much. Yesterday was his third visit and he just sat and had his haircut without any issues or tears and didn’t want to leave!!! Highly recommend Gemma. She’s welcoming, friendly and so calm with children. I’ve book an appointment at 8.30am on Saturday few weeks ago for my very difficult 2 year old. We were there 5 minutes early and it was closed. I wait...ed 20 minutes, called three times, no answer and no one in the salon, I even texted on WhatsApp, I thought ok they might reply with an explanation and rearrange new booking but no, no reply at all. Very unprofessional and I wasted my time! Show more

Perfect! We went for my sons first proper hair cut, she lovely and kind, turned the tv on to what my son watch’s, let him settle in with toys in the c...orner, even tho his did cry about she was always speaking to him and reassuring him and I could tell by the end of the hair cut he could trust her and felt comfortable! Would fully recommend ! Show more
