Sports Massage is not just for athletes. Anyone can benefit from the vast array of techniques designed to bring changes to the tissue, release tension and pain. It’s not about tolerating treatment as I work closely with every client to make sure pressure and depth of techniques is welcomed. Working with you to assess areas of concern we then build a picture of what needs to be worked on and there is always homework, mainly for weaker areas away from your pain. As the majority of the route cause is further away from the pain. If we only treat the symptoms we will never get to the route cause.

During pregnancy as the baby grows, lower back and hip pain can become a troublesome area. Treatments given can be specific to what you are having problems with so much more attention is paid to those areas. If however you would like a treatment for more relaxation then a full body session will be given. Ultimately your comfort is my priority and positioning is of the utmost importance. Lots of bolsters and pillows are used to support that position and create a warm safe environment for treatment. Music of your choice can be played to enhance your experience here at the Therackhameffect

The Rossiter system of stretches is an extremely powerful and effective workout that can see results immediately. The use of my foot as weight and warmth can bring huge changes to the tissue and fascia. You as the client the move your foot or arm to create that stretch and space back to the area of discomfort. It’s a bit like marmite. Does what it says on the tin. 😀😀
