Before starting training with Kath I hadn’t been in a gym or trained for about 5 years. I used to train fairly regularly but when I came out as trans.../ non-binary I lost all confidence in training environments as they are often very gendered, and trainers also tend to make assumptions about your gender and what that means your goals will be. I was so pleased to see a specific trans inclusive training programme available with Kath and it gave me the confidence to start training again. I was sceptical about starting an online training programme but I was pleasantly surprised. The group session each week is so friendly and inclusive, and everyone encourages one another whatever level or stage people find themselves at. With the tailored programme Kath puts a lot of thought into that. It’s always varied, but easily amendable for different levels. Kath is always happy to answer questions about the programme or amend them further if life, illness or injury requires. For me my biggest goals were to improve my mental health and general posture and reduce vulnerability to injury. A year into the programme I can say I have definitely achieved those goals and feel stronger with increased muscle with a better diet, and better quality sleep. Show more
Sports Massage

This was my first massage session with Kath, who I also have as PT. I am not an easy massage client, and there is a reason I have never had a massag...e before. I have sensory issues (meaning that i am overly sensitive to touch - and explaining how a therapist can work around this is difficult). I'm also transgender meaning that people can make assumptions about which clothing I can remove without problem. I also have multiple self harm scars. If you add all of these things together I just haven't had the confidence to approach someone I didn't know. I trusted Kath implicitly and my trust was rewarded, she took everything in her stride completely and very professional and made me feel completely at ease. She also got the right balance between releasing tension and not making me feel like I was in an uncomfortable level of pain. Show more

What can I say about Evolve. Kath has been my PT now for more than 4 years, she's taken me from a broken human in chronic pain, limited mobility and z...ero confidence, to a healing human with some pain, improving mobility and a bit more confidence. Before Kath I would never have even thought about lifting weights, now I love it, my 52.5kg bench press is something to work on and improve and be proud of. I would never have had the stamina and physical or emotional resilience to walk a marathon, but I did it with her support. I honestly don't know where I would have been the last two years without the constant support of Kath and the amazing community that she has built. Show more
