Wow! I am so thankful to have found Melissa & Charli at Dappers & Dames Studio! As someone relatively new to getting “proper” hair cuts, it feels like... winning the lottery. I’ve always had friends talk about their hair stylist as though the world might end if they should ever move out of town or stop doing hair. I think I may be coming to understand what they are talking about now! First off, I have curly long-ish guy hair. And in the hunt for someone who could execute on what I was looking for, many attempts at local highly-rated barber shops always left me feeling as though I was the square peg to their round hole. I have no doubt those shops can do some mad wicked fades—but I’m not looking for a fade. From the moment I walked in, Melissa was not only excited to cut my hair, but was so educational along the way! Helping me understand what are “red flags” for other hair stylists with regard to my type of hair. I could go on and on, but I’ll get to the point: Melissa and Charli have an excellent thing going here. They are veterans in the industry who have finally taken the call to branch out on their own and be their own boss! Don’t think that just because Dappers & Dames is a relatively new business that these ladies are new to hair—they have many years of experience and it certainly shows! Their cute little studio makes you feel like you’re at “home” with the offer of drinks, great conversation, and just an overall rad vibe. Don’t hesitate, just book an appointment!
