We had a phenomenal experience at Nitty Gritty. I brought my 10 year old son for a cut. The environment was family friendly and very cool. We were gre...eted warmly and immediately seen by our barber. He did a great job discussing my son's ideas, giving advice, and ensuring he knew what my son was asking for. He took his time and communicated throughout the cut and my son was thrilled with the outcome. The owner, Nick, was very warm and welcoming. We ended up staying a little while after the cut for my kiddo to play the owner in a game of chess. This shop has the community feel that many places are lacking these days. We will definitely be back! Show more

I hardly write reviews, feel stars don't really tell the whole story behind a successful business. This crew though is worth the little bit of effort... it takes to type a few words. Top notch people, small town barbershop feel and talent that is some of the best in the burbs. My 11 year old looks forward to each haircut, Jeff has him looking awesome every time. Nailing a child's idea of the perfect "hockey" hair cut is tough task, but Jeff nailed it and honestly the kid's hair has never looked this good. Always good conversations, good people and the shop pup is the icing on the cake. Show more
