My appointment was on Friday, July 11, 2025, with Kayla. The day before, I texted Kayla to ask her about a specific braid style and pricing for it. Af...ter texting back-and-forth to get braid and style terminology and understanding, I decided to go ahead and book an appointment. I booked via her website unknowingly under the FIRST photo (medium knotless box braids $112.50 with $25.00 deposit) according to the price and style of braids. I text her to verify the price and category under the booking. She asked me if I had cut any of my hair off and that I booked the undercut braids. I said "Oh No! I haven't cut any of my hair". She said she would change the booking to regular medium knotless braids. I sent her the THIRD photo and asked her if this was the price for the LARGE size knotless braids -waist length ($166.50 which was the discount from $185.00) because I was trying to fit my budget. I then asked her how much it will be, and she sent me the SECOND photo of what she changed my braid style to along with the price ($185.00 w/remaining balance of $160.00 minus $25.00 deposit). When I got to my appointment, I decided to go the with LARGE size knotless braids, and I asked her about the price by pulling up her site with pricing. I asked her since I am going with the LARGE knotless braids, should be the price be $166.50? She went on to explain how the website booking system works according to the pricing, discounts, etcetera and that she had no control over the style and price that is booked. In other words, Kayla gave me a bunch of LONG-WINDED BS about her system website booking and how it works. IT WAS DECEIVING HOW SHE COULD GO INTO THE SYSTEM AND CHANGE IT TO THE CORRECT BRAID STYLE BUT SHE DID NOT CHANGE IT TO THE PRICE ACCORDING TO BRAID STYLE THAT I WANTED! MY PRICE SHOULD HAVE BEEN $166.50 MINUS THE $25.00 DEPOSIT LEAVING THE REMAINING BALANCE $141.50. KAYLA DID NOT HONOR THAT! When running a business, the first and most important component to it is the customer! Never ever give a customer excuses as to why you cannot give them a satisfactory experience especially when it comes to their MONEY. If the price was exactly that on your booking site and the customer sees it and wants it whether before or at their appointment, it should be honored!
