Bahamian box braids

Showed up for my appointment to an empty, closed shop. Called phone number provided on this site. Amal indicated that she was on maternity leave and a...lthough I’d taken the day off work and made arrangements for my kids I would need to reschedule. However, she said wanted to do good business with a new customer and was able to get another braider to come in later that day. Assured me the braider could work with human hair. Braids literally slid out over the course of the first two weeks after installation even though I kept it up in a ponytail due to how bad it was falling out with no manipulation. Attempted to work with Amal to avoid having to sue for full refund and requested a partial refund since it had all come down by the second week and she wouldn’t be back in for another couple weeks at best but she stopped responding. Needless to say, very disappointed. Booked with Bossy Braids by GG and haven’t lost a single strand of human hair. Highly recommend GG. Show more

I’m very appreciative of the care and quality of work. It’s a relief to know I won’t have itchy, painful bumps on my hairline and my scalp feels norma...l after being braided. The salon is clean and quiet, almost too quiet. Some soft background music would be nice as it’s also nice being able to engage in conversation with the braiders and not have to yell over music. I will be a repeat customer! Show more
