The add on will include a deep conditioning to soften and hydrate your hair. If I could give zero stars I would. I had the displeasure of visiting this scammer for a loc maintenance service. On the day of my appointment, She wa...s late and moved my appointment to 5pm. I agreed. When I showed up, she didn't even have the tool to provide the service and took 15 minutes to buy it, which was unprofessional. She didn't wash my hair or provide any add on service that would have required her to charge above $200. Before starting the service, no consultation was provided, no contract or explanation of business policy was provided, and she never complained about the "fullness" of my hair being an issue until it was time to pay and she used that as a justification to double the price, which is unfair and deceptive. Then she threatened to cut my hair, beat me and locked me in a bathroom for paying $370 instead of $400, which was already $170 - $200 above the original price. She's a liar and thief who also invaded my privacy by watching me pee against my consent. I had to file a police report for harassment because she and her boyfriend tried to intimidate me in the empty building at midnight into paying the extra price. From my review of her website there was no mention of extra charge for fullness or hair, and my hair was less than 8 weeks old. She said after service that I had chosen the right service, interlocking, but she was charging am additional dollar per loc, above 200 locs. That is insane to do at the last minute with no prior discussion. At the very least, she saw my hair before starting and could have mentioned, but she didn't do that. Lastly, if you are African, I would not recommend her. She used racist language and made fun of my language and culture. How can you consume the music of Africans, then disrespect the people who make it? It was disgusting appalling behavior. If you choose to get your hair done, please discuss pricing beforehand because she doesn't have the accountability or common sense to do so. Edit: Madam, we are discussing business ethics. You did not dispute using racist language or the fact that you failed to tell me your updated policy at the start of the appointment, which is proof enough to me that you know what you did as well. I have no reason to steal from you, I have been getting loc care for close to a year now and know the cost of maintenance. I recorded the website before you changed your pricing for the locs this week. It is not ethical to experiment on new pricing for a new customer when you have not updated your site or disclosed it to them prior to service. At the time of my booking, your site did not include the add-ons for extra locs, which is why I negotiated with you in the first place. I expected $200 based on the outdated information on your booksy. I had paid $370 out of our verbally agreed $375 before asking to use the bathroom. You asked me to contact my bank because they were not processing the remaining $5. In the meantime, I went to use the bathroom, and you became combative over $5 and broke our verbal agreement, forcing me to pay $30, as punishment for needing to pee? It is not just $30. I work for my money too and didn't even expect to pay double what I saw on your outdated webpage that you just updated after my service (nice try). I know I booked the right service because I have gotten maintenance for my microlocs. You know your policy says to come washed, so how did you offer me a wash? You asked if I washed my hair and I said yes. I even asked if there was flakes and you said no. You know interlocking is the process used to both start and maintain microlocs, so stop playing stupid by saying I chose the wrong service. Based on your policy, even if I chose the wrong policy, you said it's an extra $30 charge. Max I should have paid is $230 not $400. Lastly, I was advised by the police to pay first, so that I can dispute the unethical price change later, so as to not hurt my case. Your language is trying to frame me as a thief and it will not work.

Honestly im not even entertaining this. The cops were called on you for a reason & you were threatened with the theft of service & forced to pay by the police for a reason because you said you weren't going to pay. I did not beat you otherwise the cops would have arrested me. I followed you to the bathroom because you did not pay me the full amount we agreed on after I considerable brought the price down for you after you immediately did not want to pay my originally stated price. You tried to walk out without paying entirely & then wanted to shortchange me & then try to pull an "im going to the bathroom" so I followed you to make sure you did not leave. The lack of integrity you have is actually unbelievable. you’re doing the absolute most to try to tarnish my business name. I asked you if you wanted a wash & you denied. I informed you that I needed to go get the proper tool to do your hair because I was not aware that you had micro locks since you improperly booked your service. The way you deflected in this review is absolutely insane. Over $30….you know what you did & im not defending myself or entertaining you anymore.

I love my hair! I booked two strand twists along with a scalp cleanse and deep conditioning. During the cleanse, she really cared and took the time to... thoroughly clean my scalp. The service did not feel rushed at all. Very relaxing. My twists came out beautifully with very clean parts. I will be sure to come back :)

This may be personal preference. The only times I was spoken to, was when I spoke first and when I was told I sent the wrong amount of money. Although... I appreciated the fact she didn’t talk my ear off, she wasn’t the most welcoming during my visit… I was wondering if maybe I caught her on a bad day? My hair looks nice but it was and is very tight, I know had every right to say something, but I didn’t feel comfortable asking. She wasn’t rude when she spoke, she just didn’t really speak. There are bumbs around my hairline from my hair being tight. I debated back and forth on whether to right a review, because I don’t want seem rude… but this was just my experience.
