Ashley provided exactly what I was looking for during my first ever professional braiding service. I wanted zig zag cornrows into two buns and she gav...e me just that. The moment I walked into the salon and sat in her chair I knew this was going to be a good experience. Very gentle on my type 4 hair, excellent stitch braiding and faster than I had expected. I liked how my hair turned out but I didn’t really feel relaxed at my first visit and my head was hurting from the tugging and pulling at my locs. I d...idn’t mind the others speaking in other languages because that wasn’t the problem. But, I’m used to stylists or locticians showing me the products they use, asking me if I like my hair parted or worn differently and being a little more gentle with my hair. Like I said, I liked how it turned out but it also came with an uncomfortable feeling and a headache. I left feeling anxious and upset because I don’t know if my hair got damaged from my experience. I never experienced that before from my previous loctician/stylists. Update: I think the stylist for her response but I will not come back again. I’m new to the area and I was already feeling anxious and instead of Ashley reading my review for clarity she chose to receive it as negative feedback. I never said anything wrong about her working in a Brazilian salon or being heavy handed. As far as me smiling I was smiling at social media on my phone as well as playing a game on my phone to keep me occupied. My husband called me while I was at the salon and he is indeed the reason for my smiling while during my visit. Even if you are doing two strand twists you can style them in a certain way or direction. The courtesy would have been to ask at least. And lastly, I tip everyone for performing a service even if it was a negative experience. Show more

Hey love I hope your day is going beautifully! If you had expressed these concerns to me throughout the appointment I would have fixed anything you didn't like. In regards to the pulling, anybody who does their hair with me knows that I am not heavy handed at all, but everybody has their own preferences of course. Either way you could have expressed this to me instead of smiling at me throughout the appointment and tipping me on top of that. Also, I didn't ask how you wanted your hair styled because you booked two strand twists, which is what I did for you. And I also never really got complaints on me speaking another language? I work in a Brazilian salon. But thank you anyways I hope the rest of your day is wonderful🥰
