He was recommended to me by my roommate and we both are in San Diego. But when I first saw my roommate’s haircut I knew this barber knew what he was d...oing. I definitely have a hard time finding a good barber who knows how to cut textured hair and satisfy their client, and who are not just trying to get a quick paycheck. The first initial consultation with Matthew was very smooth and he is very good at communicating in trying to understand what type of hairstyle I wanted, in which after he started to work on my hair. Maybe 30 or 40 minutes in he brought up a concern that might oppose the original hairstyle I wanted but also had a solution. I decided to completely trust this man and go with his proposed solution so that it looks and grows out better. He was also mindful of how my hair might tighten up since it is curly and communicated that he didn’t want to take too much off. This is a plus for me because other barbers I’ve been to usually end up cutting shorter than what I desired without communicating to me. My overall experience is more than these 5 stars! He’s a really solid guy and not just in his skills but also as a person who makes you feel cared for and sees you well. This was my first time going to him but because he connects so well with his clients it feels like we’ve been knowing each other before. I will definitely be going back to him even if I have to make the drive out from San Diego! If you want a good haircut and good customer service and good overall experience I highly recommended Matthew! Bless up KING! P.s.
