My son inadvertently grew his hair out into some well-kept freeform locs, to which we discussed having a beautician style them for a more uniformed lo...ok. We were novice in understanding his needs, but during our consultation, Toya knew what loc stage he was in and understood the possibilities for his hair. She was able to articulate our limited knowledge and reassure us what was best for him. At the end of service, Toya made sure to educate him on how to care, moisturize, and maintain his locks and scalp. He is looking forward to getting his retwists with Toya again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 100 Million Stars if I Could! I had one of the best loc retwists in history. Seriously. The professionalism, the atmosphere, the attention to d...etail — everything was beyond the call of duty. I came in thinking my hair was already clean because I had shampooed it beforehand, but she said, “No, we’re going to wash it again.” At first I thought okay, I just washed it, but when she took me to the bowl I understood why. When I tell you that shampoo was next level, I mean it. The scalp massage felt like a deep tissue spa treatment. It honestly felt like I was relaxing on a beach somewhere in Hawaii. I almost fell asleep in the chair — that’s how good it felt. Then came the retwist. She took her time and treated every single loc with care. Mousse, conditioning products, spray — everything was applied with intention and love. The two-strand style came out clean, neat, and absolutely phenomenal. The environment was amazing too. Watching Martin reruns, listening to old-school music, it felt like being at a classic Philly summer barbecue at The Plateau. The whole vibe had me feeling like Will Smith’s “Summertime.” I swear I half expected Erykah Badu to walk out and start singing. Amazing energy. Amazing service. Amazing results. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about your hair and takes pride in their work, this is the place. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back.
