I spoke to the owner before I came to the shop to confirm that I could receive large box braids for an upcoming vacation. When I arrived, a different ...was there woman was there who did not speak English. My hair was blow dried while dry and she also used a small toothed comb to not only part, but comb my hair. I noticed on my first day of vacation (2 days after my hair was done) that my braids were bushy. When I first left the shop, I initially thought it looked good (despite being longer that the length I requested on the phone). I was surprised at how bad things actually looked only a couple of days later. I was also concerned about the health of my natural hair given that the braider was rough with my hair. *In the middle of getting my hair done, a customer called to request an appointment for her and and her daughter. Owner answered on speaker and I heard the customer say that she had white dots in her hair from her braids being tightly done and requested that the owner Malia do it for her next time instead of the other worker. It seems like she may do good work but clearly some of the people that work there do not. I contacted the owner the first day I got back from vacation (only 6 days after getting my hair done) via text and then phone after she did not reply to my text. I sent a pic of the braids and she offered a refund of half. I accepted that, but the next day I took out my braids because I was worried about my natural hair and saw that not only do I have bald spots, but my hair was also thinned out from the small tooth comb being used on my hair. In less that a week my hair was ruined. Sent her pictures via text. No response until I called. Asked for the rest of the refund and the conversation ended with her saying “You must have done something to your hair- someone is calling me” and shortly after hung up on me. Didn’t want to leave this review at all (literally told Malia this), but the owner was so dismissive of her employee causing damage to my hair and then blamed me. I would like to save another woman the pain of having hair loss or damage by going to a shop where the owner does not take full accountability for the services or employees. Show more

My daughter got her hair done a week ago. It was beautifully done and they are fast! I came in today as a walk in. LOOOOOOVE the way they did my hair,... and prices are reasonable. Also, the staff are very kind and the wait was not long at all 😊 Definitely would recommend, definitely will be back. Show more
She is honestly the only person I would trust to braid my hair. She makes sure that my hair is moisturized and braided correctly and my hair lasts 2 m...onths. She is very patient and hospitable. She is available almost everytime and she answers her phone at a very timely manner. She is not like other hair shops where you gotta schedule an appointment and put down deposit in an event nonsense. It will be her shop always!!!! Show more
