10 stars if I could!!!! I took my 14 year old son for a major haircut transformation with Jack after a couple of my friends recommended him. My son ha...d curly long hair half way down his back, wanted to cut it right before turning 15 and has put it off because he is very picky and gets some social anxiety. He has been worried about getting it cut and it not looking like he wants. I can not believe how comfortable my son was in the atmosphere and with Jack. He was so amazed with his cut. Jack got the style that he asked for just right! He took his time and was very professional and precise. He also sectioned the hair into ponytails before cutting so we could donate it. My son said he was so surprised that he felt so comfortable in his chair that he fell asleep and had no anxiety. The shop is very chill and they offer you drinks. He will also take video and pics that you can share if you want. We will be back as long as he is in Austin.!! For those of you that know how hard it is getting an, “omg I love this cut, this stylist, and his shop”out of a teenage boy instead of “it’s ok and it ll work”, Or a complaint…. This was my first time using Jack since my longtime barber left Austin and I couldn’t be happier with the result. The fade is incredible! Jack really ...listened to what I wanted and checked in throughout the haircut to make sure we were on the same page. Major props to him for knowing how to work with really curly hair—something that's hard to find in Austin. Plus, the vibes at Box Boyz are awesome! This is the best haircut I’ve had in a long time.
