Grateful Dan came highly recommended by someone whose opinion I respect; someone who already has many Grateful Dan tattoos, which is why I asked where... he had them done. I met w/ Dan & was very pleased to find out that he is a tattoo artist, keyword artist, and not a copy & paste guy. I explained the tattoo that I wanted and showed him a photo of what I wanted, more or less. Dan said he would draw the tattoo based on my explanation - so cool - I can’t wait to see it. Even better, he made suggestions that made the tattoo that I was imagining even better in my mind. I asked him for a Viking Tree of Life on my shoulder. He asked me if I wanted clean lines, or if I wanted limbs to creep over the top of my shoulder as well as in front and behind my shoulder. I said definitely creep, it would look so much better. Again, I can’t wait to get this tattoo.
