Took my youngest boy there because we had seen them on a CBS46 new segment highlighting their literacy outreach. The shop is very spacious and airy wi...th more than ample seating. We had been waiting a while - not an unreasonable amount of time, but waiting nonetheless - when a relatively young looking barber walked in and asked us if we needed a cut. My son said sure, and the barber walked him to his chair. Normally, and maybe I'm jaded, but I've been going to barbers before I could spell my name, and you typically don't go for the barber who asks if you need a cut - you find who the barber everybody is waiting for and wait for them! When the barber left the shop for a little bit suddenly, my apprehension increased substantially! However, I didn't realize he had went to the hair supply store to get supplies for the type of cut my son had asked for. Long story s short, my son received the BEST haircut that I've ever seen him with. The barber washed his hair, and treated him like his canvas as he utilized his clippers to create a masterpiece! My son has a new barber, my preconceived notions were proven HORRIBLY wrong, and we both couldn't be happier! Show more

A barbershop on a mission to give back to the community. Now I can support that! I'm in the Stone Mountain, GA area visiting family and I didn't get a... chance to have my son's hair shaped up before we left town. Or mine either for a matter of fact. I decided to stop at this shop because it was next door to the Game Stop location that my oldest son wanted to go to. We got there a hour before closing time but the gentleman named Jerome was still happy to take us. Some shops don't like taking walk-ins so close to their closing time but he had no problem accommodating us. The shop was clean and looked well maintained. I was happy to see that they had a reading section with a large selection of books for kids and adults. They also have a summer reading program going on now. I was satisfied with all 3 of our haircuts and will definitely be back when we visit the area again. Show more

I've been going to this barber off & on since 2000. I use George (owner) or Jerome. Both take their time and give detailed service (I have several swi...rls and cowlicks -- never had a bad cut). Jerome also shapes my brows to precision with a straight razor. Can't go wrong with either of these guys! Show more
I used to like this place until I got a haircut from this one lady. She mumbled to herself and acted like she didn't care. I have a bald spot on top o...f my head because of it and it's very noticable and now I'm being made fun of because of it. She didn't even let me grab the small mirror to check on my hair, she held it at an angle so I couldn't see it. The environment is nice, but I just can't go there after that horrible haircut.
