I rarely ever leave reviews at barbershops or salons due to subpar service; this is the exact opposite! I’ve had a difficult journey with my hair and ...hair pattern- very coarse, thick curly hair- that is SUPER low porosity. Most shops usually soak my hair in water and call it a day chopping in uneven layers. I was hesitant to get another haircut due to the constant butchering that occurs. I have since moved to ABQ and looked for yet another Barber. I booked the appointment same day and wondered if I was going to suffer from yet another terrible cut- however Shay made sure I was looking great every second of the way! She cut me earlier than my scheduled appointment, and made sure that I voiced my concerns- as well as including advice about my hair. She went into excellent detail about what she was doing and why- all while being charismatic along the way. Shay made sure to cut my curls dry preserving their appearance sectioning hair to made sure her work was flawless. Shay is a literal artist with the clippers and blade; sheering and shaving both facial and head hair with precision- shaving faces better than most men I know! I see a lot of shops in this field, with employees, expressing an inconvenience in their job- but I was amazed by Shays customer service. From walk ins to appointments this will be my new barbershop- the way she treats her clients like close friends is incredible. If you are weary about trusting your hair with Shay or other artists at Royal Rising, don’t. Her shop is clean, employees are friendly and down to earth, music is top tier 🔥, and most importantly makes you confident in your hair. She is the fuc**** Kween! 👑 Show more
