I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received at your establishment on [jan 4] I feel compelled to bring this matter to ...the public's attention. To provide some context, I contacted your shop to inquire about stitch braids, as I did not find them listed on your website. I was advised to send a picture of the desired style, which I promptly did. The price quoted to me was $150 without added hair and $175 with added hair. Although I found the price to be steep, I decided to indulge in this treat as my husband generously offered to cover the expenses. As a new mother, I believed it would be a nice way to pamper myself and alleviate the burden of styling my own hair. Upon arrival at your shop, I regretfully admit that I did not thoroughly inspect the completed style before leaving, nor did I immediately contact your establishment upon returning home. However, the following day, it became apparent that my hair resembled regular braids rather than the promised stitch braids. I felt deceived and taken advantage of, as I had paid a considerable amount for a style that did not meet my expectations. When I brought this matter to the attention of the owner, I was instructed to visit the shop for a closer examination of my hair. The owner acknowledged that my hair required a blowout for the style to resemble the picture I provided, and even admitted that it appeared to be regular braids. Furthermore, I received negative comments about my hair, which only added to my disappointment given the substantial amount I had paid. The owner then offered to have another stylist redo my hair, as your establishment does not offer refunds. However, I was never informed about this policy when I made the appointment over the phone, nor was I instructed to review any policies beforehand. Despite my reservations, I agreed to give your shop another chance. Unfortunately, I was informed of a last-minute change in the appointment time, which caused significant inconvenience for me as I have two toddlers and a newborn to care for. The suggested time did not align with my schedule, as I had prior commitments and my babysitter had to leave by that time. Ultimately, my primary objective was to obtain a refund for the unsatisfactory service I received. It is my belief that I should have been advised to select a different style if your shop did not have a stylist capable of executing stitch braids on my hair. Additionally, it was disheartening to learn that the stylist who attended to me was inexperienced in this particular style. Despite the inconvenience caused, the owner did not offer any form of compensation or refund, even though I had already tipped the stylist, resulting in a total expenditure of $200. I firmly believe that if the owner had been willing, a refund could have been provided, considering the stylist's mistake and the subsequent dissatisfaction I experienced. It is clear that the stylist erred in allowing me to leave with a style that did not meet my expectations. In conclusion, I urge you to ensure that your customers are well-informed about your policies and procedures, particularly regarding refunds and the availability of specific styles. I regretfully acknowledge my own oversight in not thoroughly examining the style before leaving your shop. However, as a paying customer, I expected a level of professionalism and expertise that was not met. I kindly request that you rectify this situation by providing me with a full refund of the amount paid for the unsatisfactory service. I believe this to be a fair resolution to compensate for the inconvenience and disappointment I have endured. Show more

Very expensive. My hair was alright, definitely not worth the price. She takes very very long to braid. For shoulder length medium box braids it took ...8 hours. She was nice. Response: I think you are confusing me with a different customer mine was between shorter than mid back. 8 hours I am sure is reasonable but definitely not fast. I am sure your price is reasonable for the area. I am saying for me personally it was pricey. Show more

Our prices are reflected and given before service and well below the area pricing . Also, you had a boho midback and wanted it abit longer than that which we accommodated . 7-8 hours for boho lower back is an accurate time . Please be truthful in a review and thanks for stopping by !
