Review for Higher Image Hair Studio / “Stone Barber” I booked a 9am appointment, only to receive a last-minute text from my barber saying he couldn’t... make it due to “things coming up” and asked me to come later. Reluctantly, I rearranged my work schedule and showed up at 1pm instead. Once I sat down, the barber apologized and gave an unprofessional excuse involving going out the night before. Honestly, none of it sounded believable, but I let it go and hoped to just get a proper cut. I was very clear about what I wanted: a zero on the sides with a high fade. Instead, he drenched my hair, used scissors on the sides, clipped my hair up for no reason, and then told me he wasn’t going to do what I asked because “heads aren’t shaped like that.” He insisted on doing what he wanted first, saying he could fix it later if I didn’t like it. Sure enough, it looked ridiculous, and after over an hour and a half, I left questioning whether this person was even a trained barber at all. What made the experience worse was overhearing the barbers complain about customers being “entitled” and “narcissistic.” Their example? A client showed up on time while the barber was an hour late and got upset about not being updated. That’s not entitlement—that’s a reasonable expectation of professionalism. The entire experience was sloppy, unprofessional, and disappointing from start to finish. If my barber didn’t know how to do the cut I asked for, I would have respected him much more if he had just admitted it or asked a colleague for help. Instead, he wasted my time and left me with a cut I didn’t want. 0/10. Do not recommend. Show more
