To be honest, I have wanted to love this place, it was what we needed in the area. I had a great barber, Pedro, was a definitely 5, but we lost him ...to a shop in Florida, I guess for family reasons. Matt replaced him, cut my hair twice, honestly, near disaster both times. I wasn’t coming back, but then noticed that Lucas was cutting at the shop here and I was in serious need of getting my hair straightened out, so I made an appointment for Friday morning. He did a great job on my hair, took a lot of pains and did a basic beard edge trim for me, but I am concerned its a one time thing because he has got shops to run and not time to cut hair. He needs a Pedro! The cutting room is pretty close quarters, last time Matt cut may hair we were seriously distracted b y a woman who would just not stop talking loudly. And now it’s kinda becoming a used car lot with the front spaces kind of taken up already. So my cut from Lucas was most definitely a 5, but overall on the salon because of my experience to date over about 18 months, I have to go with a 3.

I came from over 20 minutes away for their special Austim friendly cut, and even booked it under that. We were 5 minutes early for our appointment ti...me and weren't taken until 25 minutes later, and unfortunatly my child gets antsy waiting, when I specifially timed it to have him not wait. The barber himself was Ok, I asked to see if he could be quick about it and, it wasn't a bad thing, but was taking his time. The barber was nice enough, but for an upcharge for this appointment because he is a bit squirmy, we weren't given anything speical then a regular haircut. Unfortunate, as I am desperately trying to find a place that understands the needs of these kids.

We found this place about 6 months ago and absolutely LOVED Matt for the sensory friendly haircut! Unfortunately, we were notified that he no longer w...orks here. We were put with Jean - who was skilled and very nice, but I’m not sure where the sensory-friendly aspect was. It was only 30 minutes, if that - which was fine, but there was barely any interaction. He had said “look down” whereas Matt would explain exactly what he was doing and why, let my son touch or look at things if he wanted, etc. For $45, Matt absolutely delivered. This time, though, was just a regular haircut. The cut was fine, as mentioned, but it was short and quiet… not worth $45 and not sensory friendly. Next time I will book a cheaper, regular cut.
