Our Sensory-Friendly Haircuts are designed for guests who experience sensory sensitivities, autism, ADHD, anxiety, or simply find a traditional barbershop environment overwhelming. This isn’t about expecting the client to “sit still” or push through discomfort — it’s about changing the service to work for them. Before the appointment, we prepare the environment around their individual needs. That might mean a special cape or no cape at all, choosing their favorite show on the TV, having toys or distractions available, keeping the shop quieter, adjusting lighting, or taking breaks whenever they’re needed. We also schedule extra time for sensory appointments, so there’s no pressure to rush through the haircut. If someone needs to stop, take a break, get up, reset, or take a little longer to get comfortable, that’s completely okay. Our barbers use a patient, understanding approach and pay attention to the little things like the sound of the clippers, the feeling of the cape, the sensation of hair falling, touch around the ears and neck, the smell of products, and the overall environment. Every person experiences sensory input differently, so there is no one-size-fits-all sensory haircut. Sometimes a sensory-friendly service means making the whole experience quieter. Sometimes it means letting a client watch a show and hold a favorite toy. Sometimes it means taking five breaks. And sometimes it simply means having a barber who understands that comfort comes before the haircut. There is no judgment, no forcing, and no rushing. Late & No-Show Policy Please call if you’re running late. Arrivals over 5 minutes may require a shortened or rescheduled service to avoid delaying others. Cancellations must be made at least 4 hours before your appointment or they are considered a no-show. No-contact no-shows lose online booking and must call with a card on file to reserve the next appointment. A second no-show will be charged in full with no refund.
