I've been a loyal customer to Confidence since 2016. When I was told by the previous owner it was sold and to give the new management a chance, I did.... I came in shortly after the management transition and was disappointed. The barbershop atmosphere is gone. The child running around is cute, but a loose child does not belong in a business that is claims to be a barbershop. A barbershop is a place for men. I am not a sexist individual, I just prefer to go to a barbershop where the whole shop is dedicated to men's cuts, and it appears that is no longer the case here. I understand also was frustrated by the language barrier that came with the new ownership. I had a hard time letting people know I had actually scheduled an appointment online. I am thankful the barber who cut my hair recognized me as a past customer and knew how to cut my hair. The previous owner was the only one who cut my hair previously so I do commend the barber who remembered how I liked my hair cut. Overall, I received a great haircut but I will likely not be returning. I value a barbershop that is centered around the adult male client and does not have small children running around and one chair dedicated to women's cuts. I can move past the language barrier, but I would rather give my business to a place that understands what a barbershop really is, not a daycare. Show more

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your input about your experience with the new ownership of this business. We are sorry to hear that it is no longer the same environment and same atmosphere, we hope that you understand that each owner and or management team has its own unique way of operating their business, no business is the same. In regards to the toddler that was at the shop during your appointment, he is the new owner’s grandson, she watches him from 10am-3pm Monday-Friday while his parents work. This is a temporary situation since child care is over $2,000.00 and grandma offers to help. Please know that beginning Sept 20th the toddler will no longer be at the shop, since his mom will be working overnight to be able to watch her son. We apologize this situation has been an unpleasant experience for you. The lady at the first station is also a barber and she cuts men's hair, and please know she does an outstanding job. Just because she is a woman it does not mean her skills are poor quality and or that she is not a barber. We understand your preferences and requirements may differ from ours, and that you prefer a male barber. Sorry to see you go, if there is anything we can do to keep you as a customer please let us know.
