I absolutely loved booking with Piki. She was super sweet and did such a wonderful job on my hair. She started on time and finished at the exact time ...she stated that she was going to. Her space was super clean and very inviting. The table for my snacks and to be able to charge my phone was super convenient and added that special touch. Loc re-twist

She was friendly, accommodating with my appt request and fast with my retie. It had been ~8wks since my last retie and it took ~3.5hr for roughly 385 ...locs. However several things were disappointing: multiple locs were combined unnecessarily & without my approval, the grid wasn't maintained so there were multiple connected locs vertically & horizontally from lack of parting. It felt like there was no effort to clean up the parts. I had 4 locs fall out within 24 hours after my appointment from trying to rectify the situation. This is my first time getting her service so not sure if this was a one-off experience but I won’t be returning and can't say I recommend her for retie services. Edit based on her response: my last retie was the end of September/beginning of October - so 8wks and few days like I originally wrote (my appt with her was the week of Thanksgiving). She offered to use gel, which I declined because I have a scalp condition, but encouraged her to use water (she didn't). She offered oil at the end of the service, which I declined again due to my sensitive scalp. I would've appreciated some communication during my appt about which locs are in poor condition (as I wasn't aware of this) so we could discuss what the best thing to do would be, but that didn't happen. I’m sorry if your experience wasn’t exactly what you expected. But Most of my clients come for loc retwists, so I have experience with this type of service. Your locs had some knots and were already combined due to the long time since your last retwist in August as you told me , and You came at the end of November, about 3 months later, which is more than 8 weeks of new growth...or maybe the way your last retwist was done I guess. I did my best to work with the condition of your hair... Also, it’s hard to make the parts very clean when you don't allow me to use any product, not even oil, is applied. But Thank you again for coming !

Ultimately, I did not get my hair done. the first appointment i set was rescheduled because the braiders or her scheduler mismanaged her time. She apo...logized but was curt then I missed my connecting ferry and called to let her know and she said that i couldn't reschedule my appointment even though i didn't want to it was not the most personable experience I've ever has with a braider and just based on how i was talked to I probably would not rebook. Edit: She did not wait an hour for me because of me; she waited an hour because she did not have an appointment between the time that she finished her last appointment and when mine was scheduled. she actually texted me telling me to come at 5 while i was still working because she finished and that my appointment time was already late, as if i am the one who makes her schedule. Wow thank you ma'am ! I'm really shocked... you made an appointment that wasn't notified by me and my scheduler on Monday. I apologized coz it's never happened to me before and even asked you if you want me to refund your deposit or if you want us to reschedule for tomorrow! You told me tomorrow that there is no problem. I kept the spot for you knowing that a client wanted booked at this same time and I waited for you more than an hour I had even already worked your hair and it was 30 minutes before your appointment that you called me excusing that you can no longer come! And you come to give me this review wow ... amazing thank you!

My experience was horrible. Stylist argued with me about what I originally asked for and my hair is uneven. Made me uncomfortable to bring up anything... else. There’s is one star because I can’t put zero and her braiding isn’t bad. Show more

Thank you for coming again and sorry if you didn't like your experience but a lot of what you say is not true... I never argued with you. I simply reminded you what you asked me. As soon as you came you asked me for a line of braids on the right side in blonde color and some highlights... I asked you if you wanted highlight or peekeboo you told me "highlight" and when I started being on the 2nd line you told me again to do more blonde braids. I said OK it was when I was on the last line of braids at the back side that you told me that there is a lot of blonde that you asked for peekeboo I was surprised and I tried to remind you that you asked for highlight braids not peekeboo and that it is different. You said no I even explained to you that when we spoke by message before your appointment you asked for "highlight". your entire performance was recorded so I know what I'm saying... even the braids in front you asked me to make them short after when I finished you said that too short... okay I can understand that you don't like your hair and I'm sorry again but I did what you asked me and I didn't argue with you in any way I just explained to you. Thank you again for coming.
