Two braids

Sis was very friendly and we had a great conversation, but she’s not the best braider. I got two braids that were supposed to cost $55, but she added ...all these other extras like a boho braid for $15. She didn’t tell me when I sent her inspiration picture (which wasn’t listed on her price sheet). She said, “Oh, that’s fine,” but then added $15 plus a $20 location fee to braid at her place because her shop is in a location she can’t open herself. She was also very slow. It took almost 2 hours for two braids that were sloppy. I’ve gotten this style before, and with hair included, I only paid $75 and was done in 45 mins. With her adding her fees and refusing to use synthetic hair (I bought braid gel which I didn’t mind because she was out and I didn’t want to wait for her beauty supply to open), I wanted to come early, but she didn’t even give it back to me after the appointment. So, I paid almost $170 for two braids that weren’t neat. These pictures are literally when I got into my car after the service. Stylist just responded to review claimed that she spent most of the time “detangling” my hair which is not true. I clearly had to wash and blow dry my hair before coming to appointment. My hair was cleaned and freshly stretched from day before. Me coming late day before was due to her calling me last min that I had to wash my hair. I was coming from being out and had to THEN go home and wash hair. No biggie and in me coming later she rescheduled me because her shop is in a swap meet and they were still open until 7pm which I was there well before that. Me coming late (and communicating day before) has NOTHING to do with her price gouging and tacking on additional fees that are not listed. For her to say “I was just over it” is unprofessional to allow someone to walk outside of your home like this. I declined the refund because I never asked for one but you refused to issue via cashapp or applepay. Why would I come back to your house with such contentious energy? Show more

Hi, sorry to disappoint. However, it's not my client's typical experience. As I’m always available to speak with directly, I understand your position to leave a statement of your personal experience. I apologize for not performing at my best today as my profile displays my work. 🤷🏽‍♀️ we all make mistakes. My fees are listed and add-ons are listed as well. Your hair is very long and thick (which is a great thing) and I did spend majority of that time detangling. Your appointment was yesterday @ 6:30pm, you arrived at 6:50pm. Over 15 min grace period. I could’ve just collected the fee. You made your appt. last minute, I called you asap to go over timing & informed to arrive with you hair washed and dry (service is listed as an option otherwise), informed you that hair isn't included and you can purchase at the beauty supply in front of mal as an OPTION. I told you then the boho curls are $40/ pack. I DO NOT SELL HAIR. The beauty supply stayed open late out of courtesy for me. I did not select hairstyle or hair, I did let you know the synthetic curls don’t last. As a courtesy I allowed you to reschedule for the following morning, I gave you OPTIONS (9am but there will be an additional $20 fee at my 2nd location OR 12:30pm at my salon in the mall the hours are 11am-7pm.: it’s typical for facilities to have set hrs) You chose 9am. I take full responsibility for those braids though lol 🤦🏽‍♀️ I think I was over it all. Told you to come get your money girl but you declined.

Aside from the time wasted and to see you trying to ...take a dig at me personally is what verifies my original comment, the fact you think Im going to go further than leaving an honest review is insane. Not only that you also tried to list me as a no show, to try to get my review removed, pathetic. Lack of professionalism and time management. Not a good experience that I would book again. 😕 Updated response: Attn: As I mentioned highly unprofessional, for multiple reasons, not about the kids you had at your home whatsoever, but you as an alleged professional stylist. Whom I booked my appointment with a week prior and was asked to come 2 hrs later and you still weren’t prepared nor close to ready to start. I got there at 3pm and left at 12 am. You being an alleged braiding professional I careless how many inches I have for you to work with, if you know what you’re doing get to it. I know someone with alopecia or growing their hair back out would hate to see you. The fact you tried to say it’s a drug free area and me vaping violated that you definitely could’ve communicated that with me when I asked you if you mind and not only did not mind, you encouraged me to take multiple “breaks”, I assure you it wouldn’t have been an issue. Instead all I’m hearing is you moaning and groaning in my ear from the very start to finish. Nobody wants to hear that you could’ve just denied services but I understand you clearly depend on completing at least 1 full head a day if you’re taking 10 hrs a head. Okayyy miss booked and busy 😂 good luck with the rest of your journey of success while lacking professionalism, proper time management, and greed because you definitely thought you were bout to finagle me out of an extra 30.
