I have been going to her for years. The day prior she had a bad experience with my sister and took that out on me. The first thing to note is that if ...an appointment is booked before 10am, she charges a $25 fee. She notified me the night before. I looked everywhere on the Booksy app and I didn’t see that, so it was a surprise, but I was okay with that. It’s better to choose your battles. My appt was supposed to start at 6am, which was postponed to 7:30am (after midnight the morning of). When I arrived she was not here, and she did not start braiding until after 8am. When she finished my hair, she walked away and said your total goes back to $125 even though the fee I paid was $31.25 (which would have made my total 118ish). Genuinely Confused, I asked, shouldn’t it be cheaper since I paid a deposit of $31.25? She started at that point screaming at me, saying if you don’t have the money I’ll cut the braids out, that’s my policy, that’s my price, etc. She was waving her arms around so much she accidentally threw her phone at me. She literally lost her mind, throwing an entire tantrum. Mind you, another client was there and confirmed that we were saying the same thing. I could see on the other clients face we were both stunned. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. In the past, she has always been sweet, and other than her running really late and pushing appts back by hours, I haven’t had many issues. I’m really disappointed our years long relationship will be ending this way, simply because I had the audacity to ask for a clarification. This could have been clarified easily, but it doesn’t seem like conflict resolution and client retention is in the Braider’s interest. Be aware. I don’t think anyone deserves to be treated that horribly. Especially a loyal client that has given referrals, tips, and has remained loyal over years. Completely unprofessional. Update: since speaking with my sister, she notified me that she charged her $125 the day before for a 7am appointment, unlike what she told me in the room. Receipts for comparison are attached. Now her reaction makes sense. I added screenshots from my sister’s conversation as well. She did not get a chance to review because she cancelled the appointment on Booksy, but they ended up meeting. Don’t let her scam you guys. Hairstyle is cute though! Update #2: We are not in the same profession… not sure what I should be jealous of.. but I’m happy there is video footage, and I’m always happy to see business growing as long as it is ethical. @Whitney please kindly send the footage to me so that it can be sent to the Michigan Better Business Bureau where a complaint has been filed 🙂. It will clearly show me confused, and you yelling at me. I never had an issue with the fee, as stated above. Also, it seems Whitney didn’t look at the photos before calling me a liar.. simply embarrassing. Update #3: She decided to edit her original post saying her client had footage. My overall experience was great and we started on time and finished on time. The communication before the appointment was great too she actually respo...nds to text messages and answer every question you may have prior to your appointment. Oh did I mention she provides the hair too so you don’t have to bring the wrong hair with your service. The stylist did exactly what I asked for as well. She is definitely passionate about her work and great at what she does. I enjoyed my appointment so much I even booked an appointment for my daughter to come get her hair braided as well. Beware!!!!!!Unfortunately we had a little snag the next day when a twist came undone, I informed her and we left it at that. The very day afterwards s...everal twist begin to unravel, I informed her again of the situation and she blamed us stating the twist looks snagged not even after a full 24 hours. I contacted her to simply see when and how we could get them fixed because we truly loved the style. She stopped responding after agreeing to a day only for me to show up and for her not to be there! I am truly disappointed Ted and did not expect this outcome! I am never the person o ever write a bad review however, I never gave her an ounce of attitude or any disgruntled behavior during our communications. I only asked if she could correct the problem! I would highly not recommend her solely based on her way of handling this situation and I cannot trust that her work will last! and now you respond with lies. You absolutely stated Monday is great as outlined in our text. I will not allow you to taken advantage of this minor error that could have been corrected. I never asked for any money back nor should I have to ask for a correction after your work does not hold up. As a professional you should acknowledge and address the error accordingly which is all that O asked. Exhibit 4 of your response of stating Monday would be great!!!! Show more

My assistant and I witnessed you FORCE your 15 y/o daughter to get a hairstyle she repeatedly said she did NOT want for the Easter holiday. But you clearly kept saying you said you didn't have the proper funds to pay for her $240 hair experience so you said you had intentionally booked my special for medium island twist for $125. Your daughter is seen/witnessed in my content videos fixing her twist/manipulating them to her likings because she said she does her OWN HAIR as well and knows how to do the style her mother had professionally just paid for. The child physically cried the entire hair appointment and you "Courtney" the mother even came back and argued with her and even told her to get up and "let's go now" then physically forced her back into the seat of my chair. I simply stopped responding after our phone conversation when I told you Monday doesn’t work. You have manipulated the messages displayed. Scam someone else. Your daughter played over her hair and messed it up. That is not my responsibility. Thank you for choosing foreign twist braid styles ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
