Reflexology is a method of treating symptoms such as pain, constipation and anxiety caused by diseases by stimulating reflexes based on the correspondence of nerves throughout the body to certain parts of the body. Reflexology is a physical therapy method that applies appropriate and gentle pressure to specific areas of the feet, hands, ears, etc. to relieve or improve the symptoms of diseases, such as pain during childbirth, arthritis pain, sleep disorders, etc. Reflexology is sometimes combined with other physical therapies to achieve more ideal results, such as massage therapy, acupuncture therapy, infrared light irradiation therapy, etc. Reflexology works by stimulating the nervous system. By pressing specific areas, relevant electrical signals can be sent to the central nervous system, and have a positive impact on human breathing, blood flow, immune response, etc.

Key areas for leg massage include the calf, front and back thighs, knee area, ankles, and reflex zones on the soles of the feet. Targeting these areas can relieve muscle fatigue, promote blood circulation, and improve overall leg health. Massage should be tailored to individual needs, with gentle techniques and avoidance of sensitive areas. Long-term practice will yield the best results. Calf The calf (gastrocnemius) is a common area of leg fatigue. After prolonged standing or exercise, muscles can become tight and sore. During massage, use thumb pressure or palm kneading, moving from the ankle toward the knee. This helps relax the muscles, promotes blood circulation, and relieves swelling or cramps. For those who sit for extended periods, focus on pressing the Chengshan acupoint (the depression in the middle of the back of the calf) to help alleviate lower limb weakness. Front and Back of Thigh The front thigh (quadriceps): Stiffness can occur after prolonged sitting or exercise. Apply pressure along the muscle with the base of your palm or knuckles to relieve pressure on the knees. 1. Posterior thigh (hamstrings): These muscles are prone to strain after prolonged standing or running. Knee massage or gentle tapping can help relieve pain. Combined with pressure on the Weizhong point (midpoint behind the kneecap) can alleviate associated back and lower back pain. 2. III. Around the Knee: The knee joint is surrounded by numerous ligaments and soft tissues. Gently apply pressure around the patella (avoiding the bone) and massage in circular motions with your fingertips to reduce joint stiffness. Key areas include the Xiyan point (the depressions on both sides below the kneecap), which can help alleviate arthritis or sports injuries.

Key areas include the Xiyan point (the depressions on both sides below the kneecap), which can help alleviate arthritis or sports injuries.

    • Legs Massage

    • Hands Reflexology Massage

By stimulating acupuncture points and reflexology zones, hand massage can regulate body functions, relieve fatigue, improve local blood circulation, and help alleviate various discomforts. The hands have reflexology connections with internal organs throughout the body. Moderate massage can help relax nerves, boost immunity, and serve as a convenient daily health maintenance method. Promotes Local and Systemic Blood Circulation The hands are densely populated with blood vessels and nerve endings. Massage can stimulate capillary dilation, accelerating blood circulation in the hands and extremities. For those who frequently use a mouse or type, or experience cold hands, massage can improve local blood supply, alleviate hand stiffness and numbness, and promote overall metabolism. Relieves Muscle Fatigue and Tension Excessive hand use or frequent use of electronic devices can easily lead to hand muscle strain. Massage, through kneading and pressing, can relax hand muscles and fascia, alleviating soreness and pain caused by carpal tunnel syndrome and tenosynovitis. It is particularly suitable for office workers and manual laborers. Regulates Internal Organ Function and Immunity Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that the palms and fingers correspond to reflexology zones for organs such as the heart, lungs, and gastrointestinal tract. For example: • The thenar eminence (base of the thumb) is associated with the respiratory system, and massage can relieve coughs; • The Laogong point (center of the palm) is associated with the heart, and moderate stimulation can calm the mind; • The Hegu point (center of the thumb) is often used to relieve headaches and toothaches. By stimulating these reflex points, it can indirectly regulate the function of the corresponding organs and help boost immunity. IV. Improve Sleep and Nerve Regulation V. Help Relieve Pain Massaging specific acupoints can relieve physical pain, such as: • The Houxi point (outside of the little finger) relieves cervical discomfort; • The Yangchi point (dorsum of the wrist) relieves cold hands and feet; • Finger joint massage can relieve morning stiffness caused by rheumatoid arthritis. Daily Recommendations and Precautions Duration and Frequency: Massage for 5-10 minutes daily, ideally until your hands are slightly warm and relaxed. Moderate Pressure: Avoid excessive force, aiming for a sore, swollen sensation to prevent soft tissue damage. Combine hand exercises: After massage, perform exercises such as clenching your fists and stretching to enhance flexibility. Contraindications: Avoid massage if you have hand trauma, skin infection, severe varicose veins, or are recovering from a fracture.

Unblocking Meridians and Promoting Qi and Blood Circulation • Core function: Meridians are the channels through which qi and blood flow. Massage therapy directly stimulates meridians and acupoints (such as pressing the Hegu acupoint and massaging the bladder meridian), effectively relieving qi stagnation and blood stasis, and promoting smooth circulation of qi and blood. The principle of "smooth flow means no pain" is the fundamental principle behind its pain-relieving effect. • External manifestations: Relieves pain, reduces swelling, and improves local skin temperature. Regulating Internal Organs and Balancing Yin and Yang • Core function: The meridians and acupoints on the body surface are connected to the internal organs. By stimulating specific acupoints and areas, the functions of related internal organs can be regulated. For example, massaging the Spleen and Stomach acupoints on the back can strengthen the spleen and stomach; massaging the Kidney acupoint on the waist can warm and tonify kidney yang. • External manifestations: Improves various internal medicine and gynecological problems such as indigestion, constipation, menstrual irregularities, and insomnia. Straightening Muscles and Restoring Joint Function • Core function: For injuries and dislocations of muscles, tendons, and ligaments, massage techniques can straighten the meridians and restore their elasticity; for joint dislocations and functional disorders, passive movements such as stretching and rotation can correct dislocations and restore the normal range of motion of the joints. • External manifestations: Treats joint sprains, tendinitis, herniated discs, and limited joint mobility.

By pressing specific areas, relevant electrical signals can be sent to the central nervous system, and have a positive impact on human breathing, blood flow, immune response, etc.

it was the best massage I had in quite awhile. From the time I stepped into the lobby. The receptionist was great making sure to ask what I wanted do...ne and if light or deep massage. She even came around to check my shoulders to see how tight I was. Went into my room which was wonderful. receptionist explained to my masseuse what I wanted and the pressure I wanted. I has Sasha and she was great. She knew what I need and when to go light or deep. It was perfect. The music is nice and relaxing. It's nice because there is not alot of talking. Only to ask if this or that was OK. But not your typical spa massage. If you like a massage and some stretching all the way from your head, fingers and toes then you have to go here.

Good morning our valued customer Kristin Thank you so much for your warm and detailed review! Reading "This is the best massage I've had in a long time" made us incredibly happy and touched. We will pass on your praise to the receptionist and massage therapist Sasha—they were able to understand your needs from the very beginning (including checking for shoulder tension) and precisely control the pace of light and heavy pressure during the massage using a "less talk, more feel" approach, which is exactly the experience we strive to provide. You specifically mentioned the "massage and stretching from head to toes," which also helps other guests better understand our style: not a typical spa, but one that focuses on holistic body conditioning and relaxation. Thank you again for your kind recommendation. We look forward to continuing to provide you with such perfect relaxation and recovery. Please feel free to let us know next time you come—we hope every experience will be as perfect as this one. Thank you again and have wonderful day! Sincerely The Sunny Massage Team
