It was a lake effect warning and I was driving slow because of the slippery roads. I started from my home at 10:05 AM (for a 10 minute drive, I starte...d 25 minutes prior to my appointment time) and I reached outside of the salon at 10:28 AM to find a busy street with no parking. I took a round and had to park a little far from the salon just outside Utica University.I took a walk and reached 11 minutes late. And this was a learning for me. I should have left an hour earlier from my home. I liked the professionalism exhibited by Nick when he rejected my appointment because I was late. The only aspect that bothered me is the tone he used to interrupt me and said " You are late and I don't have time for you." My haircut actually took 10 minutes only at Supercuts and had he not interrupted me, he would have finished the haircut with atleast 5 minutes to spare for the next appointment. I left from Nick's salon and I was actually planning on changing my rating from 4 to 5 because i didnt want to skew his ratings on the lower side. However, this morning, Nick followed me on Instagram and asked me to remove this booksy review because a 4 rating would hamper his overall rating. Again, his tone started to escalate and it started to feel like he is not requesting but demanding me to delete the review. I was anyway going to do it but his insta texts started to turn a little rude. He called me a "clown" and that is where i decided to send him a message explaining myself and later block him. I think this interaction doesn't draw a good picture about his communication conduct with customers. In good faith, I will still give him a 5(and not 2) because I am kind and I want people to try him for his cosmetological skills( which i didnt get to experience) also and then, give a feedback. I need him to learn from this experience and introspect on his customer relationship, and communication skills. Its imprtant to have interpersonal skills along with technical to be able to make a wholistic mark on customere so that they come over and over again.I won't be visiting this salon just because how he conducted his communication on Instagram and the tone he used in person to turn down my appointment but I wish him all the very best.
