I had a marvelous experience with African Braiding by Tashia. She is a very professional stylist who listened to my concerns regarding my previous hai...r care experiences. She offered good advice on the style which was best suited for my facial style. Tashia was very thoughtful in being mindful that I had not been hydrated during the hairstyling session and offered me multiple refreshments to keep me hydrated. Tashia was concerned about me in that she took the time to engage me in conversations while offering viewing options to watch on the large screen television in her shop. I was impressed with the structure and organization of her products and services. There were many selections from hair care products, wigs, and other items such as clothing, personal care items, and holistic teas to promote a healthy lifestyle. I felt that Tashia recognized that a person needs more than just hair care, but care for the whole body. I felt safe and secure at her location. There was plenty of parking and she managed her appointments well as they were perfectly scheduled, giving time to end services with one customer while preparing for another. Tashia shop was clean, and items were well displayed to easily and readily access to view. She is truly a professional who made sure that I had the best experience I could. Having me leaving with the look of beauty I desired. I was most impressed that she gave advice to follow-up care helping me to be mindful to keep up with the timing of refreshing my style and educating me on how not being mindful could result in hair loss. This is a person who cares not only about giving good service but showing her clients how to achieve their goals of growth and sustaining a good hair style. I would highly recommend her to my family and friends. I would also be comfortable with getting her to care for my mother , daughter, and granddaughters with their hair care needs. I left feeling like a beautiful person. I know that Tashia cares about people because most hair stylist do not have this level of professionalism, client care, and leave customers feeling assured that you are satisfied with the end results of your braiding experience. Tashia is an amazing professional who cares about the whole body needs of her clients and not just their hair. She is an amazing business owners. I was very impressed to the point that I will keep her as my personal professional beautician because she has shown me that she truly cares about people, not just making money. I had knotless braids done and it was wonderful! The installation was very gentle on the scalp, which is great for those with sensitive scalps like me.... The braids were expertly styled and extremely neat. The store is very cool, there's lots of hair, skincare, fashion products and even a grocery and restaurant next door. Show more

This is my first time setting an appointment. My appointment was 12 PM. It is now 12:30 PM. I am sitting in my car to no avail. I called Rashia agai...n, but she did not answer. She finally texted me and said that she was running late and that she would be here in 10 minutes. I waited for about half hour and called again. She replied by text, saying that the traffic is bad on HWY 19. It is now 1PM and she has not contacted me. My time is important too! I finally texted her asking "are you still coming because I'm waiting ". I will never patronize her business again. I am very disappointed. I took the time out of my busy schedule and she doesn't even have the decency to call and talk to me regarding her screw up. Communication is paramount. I personally think that she is a bad businesswoman. You did not text me saying that you had an accident until after I texted you and told you that I did an online review. I was prepared to pay you 100 dollars for an hour's work. I spent an hour waiting for you and I didn't receive any services. My time is valuable also. Please do not text my phone again regarding this review. Show more

Absolutely horrible experience. I wish I could give 0 stars. Firstly she had at first told me she provided the hair. I only needed to provide curly pi...eces for boho braids. Then the next day she told me I need to bring braiding hair as well. The day before I made a deposit. 15 minutes before my appointment she told me I need to bring my own braiding gel. When I got to the salon she said I didn’t get the right braiding hair and told me I needed to go back to the beauty supply store. At this point I was over it. I asked if I could get my deposit back. She said sure and said she would send it back to me via cashapp. After multiple cashapp requests and a phone call she refuses to acknowledge refunding my deposit. This place is an absolute SCAM. Do not go. Highly disorganized. Worst braiding experience ever Show more

Hi, Emma! You came and sat down and made the braider part your hair and later chose to leave because the braider told you the hair you got was the wrong hair. You wanted your hair to be shoulder length but you bought butt length hair. Once the braider told you to go back to the store and exchange the hair, you got frustrated and decided to leave. In that moment, your deposit will not be issued to you. You were never told to buy gel and we provide hair when we are Braiding. The hair that we do not provide is the bohemian hair, but we do provide a synthetic hair. you chose to buy your own hair to bring it so I don’t know why you are giving a false review.
I love this braiding shop so very nice and quick and didn't hurt and I'm in love with my hair I got knotless braids for the first time and I'm hooked ...I love them and I got a lot of compliments on my hair I will definitely be coming back and if ur looking for a great hair braiding shop then please check Hair braiding by Tashia 🤗❤️ Show more
