I came for a relaxer + pikie cut service. Originally it was planned for Tuesday 3/31 but she double booked herself, fine with me and we rescheduled fo...r the next day. The beginning of the service was okay, I’m not familiar with how salons perform relaxer treatments so I didn’t question her starting the service with a hair wash but as it got to the me being In the chair and my hair being blow dried and flat ironed I knew the relaxer was out the question so in my mind I was okay with just getting the cut, but during the heat application she burned me multiple times with the Marcel iron, I was trying to make light of it but I was a bit frightened toward the end. When she brought out the scissors I let it be known that I came for a complete different service and she let me know that the most she could do today was trim my hair into a bob and she couldn’t do the pikie but if I come next time she can do it my original request. The cut was average, and not what I preferred, it felt a bit rushed as she was going in with the sheers and she even poked me in the neck at one point. She was also using too much heat while cutting to cover up her mistakes but after inspecting my hair I can still see them. Toward the end of service I paid the price of a relaxer and pikie cut and tho she claims she hasn’t updated her prices yet, on Booksy to my knowledge it’s $85.

I do wish this concern had been brought to my attention during your visit so I could have addressed it directly. After we discovered the oversight at the end of the service, you mentioned applying a texturizer just days prior, and I also observed pre-lightened areas that would not have been suitable for a relaxer. When you arrived, your hair showed signs of damage and breakage, so my focus was on preserving the health and length of your hair. For that reason, a relaxer is not something I would have recommended under those conditions. I also want to clarify that there was no malicious intent—only professional judgment and care for your hair. The service was priced based on the time and work performed. If you would like to discuss this further or allow me the opportunity to refine the cut to better suit your preference, I would be happy to speak with you directly. Thank you again for your feedback.
