I had to take a couple of days to really sit with this experience before writing this. Haircuts are never easy for my son or for me. He’s on the spect...rum, and something as simple as a haircut can quickly become overwhelming, it takes patience, awareness, and someone willing to meet him where he’s at. Not everyone is. Fab did! He blocked out time just for us, never rushed, and gave my son the space he needed, allowing breaks, working with his movement and curiosity, and staying calm and focused the entire time. That kind of care is rare. Our experience at other barbershops has been the complete opposite, rushed, dismissive, and lacking attention to detail. You can feel when you’re not truly welcome. This was different. And the haircut itself? Incredible. My son got so many compliments this week!, it had him blushing. I’ve even had other parents asking who cut his hair and whether Fab would be open to working with their special needs child. Honestly, in LA, it’s hard to find barbers who are both skilled and genuinely open to working with kids like mine. There are some stylists who try, but the quality just hasn’t compared. This was the first time we got both: patience and artistry. This was our first visit, and I’m hopeful that over time it will get even easier for my son. Thank you, Fab. We truly appreciate your patience, your understanding, and your craft.
