My story begins like many dark and stormy tales - a lonely pandemic, a bottle of wine, and a tempting box of bleach saying "use me!" and "change your ...looks" during months of cabin fever. Years later I found myself walking around Portland hunting for a place that would be sympathetic to my plight. Salons were humbling experiencing, and I was almost done looking after another place even made fun of my hair. That's where Amber walks in. Amber at L&M is extremely empathetic and patient with all sorts of hair, including your pandemic experiments and playful hair colors, and gently helped me get my hair touched up, cut off the dead ends, and look good despite how bad I felt initially walking in. I cannot recommend her highly enough and I am 100% going to be coming back to her to continue my hair journey. I hope others find this salon and feel the warmth and joy of getting back into hair care as much as I did. And bonus points for having a a pay-in-four model! Money is tight for a lot of us and that's one of the best ways to make sure you can secure that beautiful hair appointment you've been dreaming of. Super worth it! Show more

Amber is absolutly amazing! I have been looking for a salon like this for awhile. I bought a $1,000 laced hair topper for myself but needed it dyed, c...ut and styled. My natural hair was super dry and not looking good at all. For a very reasonable price Amanda conditioned, dyed, cut and styled my hair and i look amazing. Worth every penny and i will definetely be returning. Show more
