I want to clearly explain my experience because there were multiple issues that were misleading and unprofessional. Initially, I was told the price f...or this style would be $170. I was then asked to send a deposit to secure an appointment. However, when I arrived, the braider was already working on another client and was nowhere near finished. I was then asked to come back another day, while my deposit was still kept. This was misleading, because I would not have sent a deposit if the agreed time was not actually available. I do have screenshots to support this. We eventually rescheduled for April 9th at 9 AM. She arrived about 10 minutes late, which I did not mind—I just wanted the style completed. A few hours into the appointment, she began taking additional clients without informing me beforehand. First, she squeezed in someone for a quick touch-up, which I tried to be understanding about. However, this continued throughout the day. She then took another client for a silk press, which took a significant amount of time. After that, she accepted another client for mini twists, claiming it would only take an hour, which was unrealistic given the circumstances. At this point, we were already over 12 hours into the appointment. Despite repeatedly assuring me that we would finish that same day, she continued adding more clients, delaying my service further. By this time, I had been awake for over 24 hours, as I had worked a 12-hour shift before the appointment. I was still willing to continue, as long as the style was completed. Instead, she stopped before finishing and suggested we complete it the next day. We agreed to meet again at 9 PM. The next day, there was no communication from her at all. I had to reach out close to the scheduled time just to confirm. At that point, she canceled, stating it was due to her daughter. While I understand emergencies happen, there was no prior communication, which was unprofessional. When I asked to reschedule for the following day, she did not respond until later and told me I would have to wait until Monday or Tuesday—several days after the initial appointment. That was not what we agreed on, and it is unreasonable to expect someone to walk around with an unfinished style for that long. Because of this, I had no choice but to go to another braider and pay additional money to have the work completed. After getting it finished, I requested a partial refund since the original service was not completed by her. She told me she would follow up on Tuesday, but when she did, she only offered $50, which was essentially my tip. The total cost was $250 before tip, and it is unreasonable to expect full payment for a service that was not completed. When I tried to address this further, she became disrespectful, cursed at me over the phone, and then blocked my number. I have screenshots documenting all of this. This experience was misleading, unprofessional, and poorly handled from start to finish. I would strongly advise others to be cautious.

Thanks for your review 👏🏾 I tried my best to accommodate you and fulfilled the desired style! It’s so sad when unprofessional and unappreciative people attack someone’s livelihood! You originally booked for the wrong service. You wanted mini plaits which take at least 8hrs so we had to reschedule you and give you the correct price. I was working with your schedule because you stated you are in nursing school and work a full time job so YOUR time was limited from the beginning. Services were rendered and the service industry is not like the retail industry. Service providers cannot give a refund on their time or products used
