I wasn’t going to say anything, but I’d be doing myself and others a disservice if I didn’t. Today I was humiliated at this barbershop and it had noth...ing to do with the haircut itself (Jose is actually a decent barber). The atmosphere, however, was very unprofessional. While I was getting my haircut, several barbers were drinking beer, laughing, and making degrading comments about me in Spanish. One even recorded me while they joked. What they didn’t realize is that I understand some Spanish — including being called a “perro” (dog). They even erupted in laughter again as I left the shop. My self esteem is not low by any means, however this was hurtful, disrespectful, and far from what I expected. I thought everyone was welcome here, but that clearly wasn’t the case. I won’t be returning and will take my business somewhere where professionalism and respect are valued! I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life this was beyond disgusting especially considering the sensitive times we live in now! Show more
