I cannot recommend Jamila for Electrolysis. I made an appointment and drove 30 minutes through traffic after a hectic day of teaching to make it on ti...me. I called to let her know I'd be 5 minutes late but when I arrived 7 minutes late, she had already left and sent me an email saying that after 10 minutes late I'm a no show and my appointment is cancelled. I was NOT 10 minutes late...but I also called...and life happens. I wish she would have called and asked if I was on my way or just shortened my consultation. But she didn't. She instead sent a cold cancellation email and just left herself...and insodoing lost what could have been a long term client. Show more

I've been getting my hair done by Michelle for a couple years now and I leave impressed every single time. I've always gone blonde, but I just decided... to try going darker, and Michelle couldn't have done a better job. She left in some bits of blonde but gave me the perfect shade of brown that I wanted. She has so much knowledge about hair, skin, and the best products to use for both. Shades of Beauty is a one stop shop for anything beauty related you might need. Not only does Michelle provide the best color and cuts, but she's incredibly sweet and caring. I always look forward to my appointments with her, and I know I'll walk away happy. Show more

I can’t tell you how amazing Michelle is!! I was with my hair stylist for 13 years & she hasn’t been able to get my highlights to the color I wanted a...nd be able to keep my dark hair color!! Within 2 appointments, it is exactly how I’ve always imagined it! Not only is Michelle the best but her team is also so amazing! I highly recommend shades of beauty!! Very frustrating experience. I bought a groupon, was going to vegas and thought a change would be nice. First of I called several times before finally... getting the owner to answer, when she did she said she was driving and to text her, that she would get back to me. I texted right away and heard nothing for a day and a half. I ended up calling again and she booked me several days out, I was scheduled to have my hair appointment 1 day before my vegas trip. About 5 days before my appointment I received a confirmation email, which I completed. Two days and the day prior to the appointment I also received appointment reminders, so to my understanding all set and ready to go. I show up to the appointment half an hour early I missread my time. When I arrived there was a lady waiting. Gets pulled back by my stylist while I'm told to wait. When she finally comes to talk to me after getting her client set up she gives me a story that her husband has been in an accident and blah blah blah and she's trying to catch up with things. Although I was extremely upset given that I had all these confirmations and it was the day before my trip I did not show it and told her I understood and rescheduling was fine. She said she had tried to call me but must have "pressed the wrong numbers" I find that odd since I received not a single phone call yet all the notifications I received just fine. She said she wanted to give me "top priority" and would get me in right away, that right away was 1 week out. And again I received all my confirmations on the 2 and 1 day before my appointment. I'm all set and ready to go and an hour before my appointment she calls me telling me she's sick and she's contagious. That she could have her daughter do it as well and we needed to reschedule. At this point I'm beyond frustrated. Seems like if you have a groupon you aren't priority probably because she makes less money out of us. I get it... life happens, but getting notified while I'm sitting in the lobby or an hour before is just ridiculous. The excuses that she gave still allow plenty of time to let me know sooner. I'm cutting my losses and considering this groupon trash. I am not going there. Show more

I came here a couple weeks ago and got my hair done, and I'm absolutely in love with it! Michelle did a fabulous job and she was so fast and precise w...ith my highlights, definitely would say she's done the best job out of 10 or more hair dressers I've tried. My ends were split, but I wanted to keep as much length as possible and she did an exceptional job cleaning it up yet keeping a grest length.Thank you again! Omg!!! Michelle was Ahhhh- MAZING!!!! She did my Brazilian and when I tell you it was the least painful (still somewhat painful) and fastest sugaring ...I’ve ever received. She made me feel very comfortable & talked me through it. She maintained my humility as I’m a thicker girl. She answered all my questions with knowledgeable responses. You can tell she is committed to providing exceptional customer service! I’ll definitely be returning and recommending Michelle. The price was fair and reasonable !
