Justin always wows me with the results of his work. His skills and knowledge of my hair type has encouraged me to fall in love with my locs. I was 7 m...onths into this journey, and on my 3rd stylist. Why so many stylist? Because my hair did not look healthy and was very itchy. I was told this is the loc process. SO NOT TRUE. A great wash, steam treatment, clean scalp, and the application of nourishing products goes a long way. No more trying to buy products from the store to hold me over until my next maintenance appointment. I love my hair and it loves Justin’s process! I get a lot of compliments too, but most of all my hair is healthy, growing and thriving. I’m here for the loc journey and my guide, Justin! Show more

I guess I'll stop gatekeeping Justin at HoustonLocSpa! Hands down one of the BEST hairstylists I've ever had. I like that he did a consult before my... first visit so he and I were on the same. His attention to detail was evident right away and I could appreciate that he could explain the science behind his recommendations. I've been an avid client for over a year and Justin always knows if I'm hydrated, taking my collagen supplements or eating enough protein. Stepping into his salon instantly relaxes me. The music, the weighted blanket, it's a vibe! Excellent shampoo experience, the scalp massage will put you to sleep! . I love his hair oil and his edge control is a staple in my routine. Justin is always precessional, but also nurturing and chill. And his styles are ALWAYS on point! Do yourself a favor and book a brunch, hot date or a happy hour after your appointment, you'll be feeling yourself! ❤️ Show more

Very unprofessional. My appointment was for 5pm and he didn’t start until 40 mins later. While attempting to style my hair he kept rolling his eyes an...d acting as if he was in a rush. This was the worse service I’ve ever had. Then I noticed hair sticking up and mentioned it to him and he just sat there. I took the style down and my retwist was ALREADY unraveling like the products used didn’t hold. Not to mention my hair felt very heavy and oily. I had to take down and rewash my hair. I texted him to let him know my concerns and he BLOCKED ME!! UNPROFESSIONAL!! Feel like I was scammed out of $150. Will be reporting. Show more
