She greeted me with a smile, there was no waiting and the service was wonderful. I had not had my locs done in over 3 months, so there was a lot of cl...eanup of the sections. This was my 7yo's first trip to the hair salon and she was apparently not as ready for the experience as we thought she was lol. There were a few tear...s shed. Stylist was very patient with her, explained what she was doing throughout, altered her approach to get the job done, and made the experience fun for my daughter at the end. I was impressed by how she handled the situation and my daughter's braids were beautiful. Have had her do my hair before too and I'm always pleased. Will probably wait a good while before bringing my child back just because I now know she's not quite ready, but definitely recommend this stylist and would use her again myself. Show more

I’ve been going to Shawntay for awhile, my previous hairdresser, unbeknownst to me, over processed my hair to the point where it was breaking off. Sh...awntay quickly diagnosed the problem and got my hair back in shape with several treatments and trimming off the split ends. It is always a pleasure to go to Shawntay, she is knowledgeable, professional and friendly without being overly familiar. Her prices are fair, she’s always happy, fully stocked and my appointments have always been on time! Another crucial thing for me with hairdresser is that they not be ‘scissor happy.’ Shawntay always consults with me about any haircut, she goes over all options, benefits, etc and we decide together. She cuts your hair the way you want, not what she thinks is best for you! She’s wonderful! Show more
