New Style Studio 2 is located next to Sicily Coal Fire Pizza (back entrance of restaurant). Public parking is available but you have to pay to park. You can download the ParkMobile, pay at the kiosk, or pay at the meter. The price is $1.50 per hour through the app or $1 per hour at the kiosk and meters.

The stylist is incredibly nice, personable, and was great about communicating promptly when we needed to make schedule changes. Unfortunately, I am re...ally disappointed with the quality of my medium starter locs. As you can see in the photos, the parts are quite uneven and the twists are inconsistent—ranging across three completely different sizes throughout my head. There was also a heavy buildup of product used, which has left my scalp intensely itchy. I paid $160 total ($35 for the consultation and $125 for the appointment). Because fixing the inconsistent sizing and parting requires a complete restart, I am currently taking the entire style down myself since I don't have the time to sit through the whole process again. I truly appreciate her great attitude, but the foundation work just wasn't there. UPDATE: I’m adding this because I feel the stylist’s response did not accurately reflect my experience. The appointment was rescheduled twice from 5:30 to 6:30, and she arrived at 6:45 without notifying me. My dandruff wasn’t the only reason for the extended length of the appointment. Finally, both OTC dandruff relief and oil were used. There was so much oil that it got into my eye during the appointment. The following morning, there was a large oil stain on my pillowcase. So yes, my hair was itchy from the excessive amount of product. I had no intention of leaving an additional review, but the whole story wasn’t being told.

I apologize that you are dissatisfied with your results and thank you for your honest feedback however, I wish that you would have reached out to me before leaving a review because we could have worked something out so that you could be satisfied. I take full accountability for the uneven grid, I wasn't at my best as it was late and we were over the estimated time to complete due to me having to treat your excessive dandruff that I missed spotting after the shampoo service. So the heavy product use is inaccurate because I made sure to use minimum product due to the excessive dandruff that you had all over your scalp. What I should have done is inspect your entire scalp before washing and conditioning your hair because I would have advised you to seek medical advice for treating the dandruff and decline further servicing you until it is was healed. Instead, I applied an OTC product for dandruff and proceeded with the service without using the normal products that I use so that I won't agitate your scalp anymore. I enjoyed meeting and conversing with you though. It was a pleasure. Wishing the best on your natural hair care journey and I apologize again for not meeting your expectations. t
