The haircut I received was excellent—by far one of the best I’ve had in Phoenix. Miyah’s skills as a barber are top-tier and the final result truly ex...ceeded my expectations. However, the customer service experience left something to be desired. When I arrived, another stylist informed Miyah of my appointment, and Miyah responded with, “I said hi,” which felt dismissive and unwelcoming. It wasn’t the kind of professional or friendly greeting I expected as a new client. During the haircut, Miyah repeatedly questioned why I had a relaxer in my hair, which felt unnecessary and somewhat off-putting. As a client, I expect a barber to work with whatever hair type I have without making it an issue. I was also told the relaxer made it more difficult to cut my hair—something I’ve never heard before from a professional. To be clear, Miyah is incredibly talented with the clippers, but the approach to customer service could definitely benefit from a bit more professionalism and tact. A more welcoming attitude and less judgmental conversation would make the overall experience match the quality of the haircut. Show more
