Microlocs & Braids Palace LLC — Booking Policies ​Welcome to the Palace experience! To ensure the highest quality of service, precision, and respect for everyone's time, please thoroughly read our booking policies before securing your appointment. By booking, you agree to the terms below. ​1. Appointments & Deposits ● ​Non-Refundable Deposit: All appointments require a non-refundable deposit(30% of your service cost) to secure your slot. This deposit goes directly toward your total service cost on the day of your appointment. ● ​Card on File: A valid credit or debit card must be kept on file to secure your booking. ​2. Special Policy for First-Time Transfer Locs/Microlocs/Sisterlocs Clients ●​ No Direct Booking for Standard Maintenance: If you already have locs/microlocs/sisterlocs established by another stylist, you cannot book a standard "Returning Client" maintenance slot for your first visit. ● ​Mandatory Transfer Booking: First-time clients with existing locs must book under the "First-Time Transfer Client Maintenance & Assessment" slot. This allows extra time for a thorough 4-point scalp and grid assessment, loc count check, and structural evaluation. ● ​Pricing/Time Adjustments: If your new growth exceeds 6 weeks or requires extensive repairs (mating, bunching, or thinning), pricing and service times will be adjusted to our hourly transfer/repair rate. We will discuss this before work begins in the chair. ​3. Late, Cancellation, & Rescheduling Policy ● ​Grace Period: We offer a 15-minute grace period. If you are running late, please text the salon immediately. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in a shortened service or cancellation to protect the next client's slot, and a late fee may apply. ● ​Cancellation/Rescheduling: We require at least 48 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling requests. ● ​Late Cancellations & No-Shows: ​Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will be charged 50% of the remaining service balance. ​No-shows (failing to arrive with no communication) will be charged 100% of the scheduled service cost via the card on file and may be restricted from future bookings. ​4. Hair Preparation & Salon Etiquette ● ​For Braiding Services: Unless you have booked an add-on shampoo service, hair must arrive freshly washed, completely detangled, and blown straight out from root to tip with no heavy oils or heavy creams applied. ● ​For locs/microlocs/sisterlocs Maintenance: hair wash is included in the service. In case you do it by yourself, hair should be freshly washed within 24 hours of your appointment using a clarifying, residue-free shampoo. Please do not apply oils, conditioners, or interlocking glazes to the roots before coming in. ● ​Suite Environment: To maintain a relaxing, high-standing environment, no extra guests or children are allowed in the salon suite unless they are actively receiving a service.
