Hello! I am a Missouri licensed massage therapist with over 23 years of professional experience. My career has spanned numerous roles, broadening my experience in the trade, including: massage therapist at day spas and boutique spas, massage school instructor and supervisor, insurance claims massage therapist in tandem with chiropractic care, owner of my own mobile massage business for 17 years, and now, owner of ANEW DAY MASSAGE THERAPY. I am well versed in multi-disciplinary massage techniques and can easily adapt to my client’s needs, whether it’s a soothing relaxation massage or a sports therapy/deep tissue approach to unravel muscle memory and improve ROM. I enjoy addressing musculoskeletal and myofascial dysfunction, and strive to identify and inform my clients of daily habits that may contribute to their chronic pain, to treat them at the source.

As a massage therapy provider, I always aim to use the most effective techniques to help accomplish my client’s goals. I often combine multiple techniques from my ‘tool box’ in order to spot treat areas; these can include modalities that are typically considered ‘add-ons’, such as: cupping, gua sha, thermotherapy and hydrotherapy. For example, not every client will need a full body cupping session, but they could benefit from its use on a particular area that is very congested. At my own discretion, and with my client’s permission, I will use my tools accordingly to best meet their goals. I also use various massage modalities interchangeably as needed, such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Myofascial work, etc. Each session includes the option of aromatherapy for limbic system integration and magnesium crème to help relax extremely tight muscles. All of this will be discussed in the consultation, and as our client/patient relationship grows, I will become more attuned to you.

Sometimes knowing which massage modality to choose can be overwhelming, and your needs can change from day-to-day, and from muscle-to-muscle. In addition, each person defines light, medium and firm pressure differently. I have a no-nonsense, inclusive service menu adapted to your needs that takes the guesswork out of which massage modality to choose.

HYDROTHERAPY
Hot towels placed upon the back, neck, feet and over the eyes.

THERMOTHERAPY
Hot stones used to warm hands while massaging neck muscles, and a heated massage table.

AROMATHERAPY
Essential oil of choice placed below headrest and upon warm eye covering.

BIAN STONE GUA SHA
Myofascial release tool to help smooth out connective tissue and encourage lymphatic fluid flow. Bian stone is an ancient, mineral rich rock celebrated for emitting Far-Infrared rays, negative ions and ultrasonic vibrations that help boost circulation and healing.

MAGNESIUM CREME
Magnesium is an essential electrolyte that our muscles require to relax. This highly effective, magnesium infused creme penetrates rapidly through the skin to soothe tight muscles. Typically applied to the neck and upper back, it is also highly effective for muscle cramps.

CUPPING
(AS NEEDED SPOT THERAPY)
A single silicone cup used on a specific area to lift and roll muscle tissue. It is a highly effective tool to iron out stubborn, congested adhesions and thick fascia while stimulating blood flow and lymphatic fluid movement.
