I had Bellami extensions installed 4 months ago. The initial installation cost me $375, and the hair cost me around $500, bringing my grand total to o...ver $800. During my consult, I was told new hair install prices were $375, and move ups were $100 for a junior stylist. I was also told with good care, the hair would last a year or a bit longer. 4 months in, the hair turned BRIGHT red! I contacted the salon and they insisted I come in and pay to have it dyed. The manager tried to tell me it was my water, or products I used. Thankfully I checked with Bellami the hair vendor, and they advised me against this, notifying me dying the hair would void the warranty of the hair. The Haute Headz manager Brittany initially told me she spoke to the Bellami rep and due to it being outside of the 90 day purchase, there was nothing she could do, besides charge me to have the hair dyed and assured me it’s likely it could fade again. After numerous calls with Bellami and Haute Headz, Bellami agreed to allow me to mail the damaged hair back, in return for new hair. I went into the salon, under the impression I’d be charged today for a move up(which is what I would’ve paid for, had I been sold a quality product that didn’t have to be returned) $100, and my color. Instead I was charged the $375 on top of my color price. I‘ve spent close to $2,000 over the course of 4 months to only be sadly be let down. For background information, I’ve worn hair extensions for close to 15 years and never experienced an issue with the hair turning colors until now. Advice 1.Do not take advantage of customers who are willing to give your salon a second chance after a bad experience. 2. Do not provide misleading information regarding quality of hair, and maintenance cost. Show more
