WHAT IS THE TREATMENT? BBglow treatment is a minimally invasive and non-surgical procedure that uses a highly effective tinted pigment, applied by using a nano-needle or microneedle to penetrate the skin. It stimulates skin rejuvenation and collagen production. The BB glow serum adds nutrients as well as your desired colour to your skin. The treatment leads to fewer freckles, brighter and radiant skin, reduced skin discolouration, even skin tone, and fewer wrinkles and fine lines. It is a form of semi-permanent makeup that can last up to half a year with the proper number of treatments and aftercare. HOW DOES IT WORK? The therapist uses a microneedling pen and a Stayve white serum with foundation in it to provide you with instant sheer coverage, reducing the appearance of pores, and smooths fine lines and wrinkles. The serum contains hyaluronic acid to make your skin more radiant and plumper and vitamin C to treat freckles and hyperpigmentation. The serum also treats your skin from the inside. The therapist uses a microneedling pen to penetrate the foundation into the skin. The microneedling pen roll tiny needles over the skin which cause trauma, forcing the body to go into its natural repair mode, increasing the collagen and elastin production. The therapist can adjust the speed and length of the needles, according to the area being treated. The BB glow Stayve shades available include Light (lightest shades for normal skin complexions), Light Rose (light pink shades for bright skin complexions), Medium (medium shades for medium skin complexions), Deep (dark shades for brownskin or bronze skin complexions), and Deep Plus(deep skin complexions). TREATMENT TIME BB glow takes about 1 hour, including skin preparation time. You will see instant results after the first session, but you may require 4 sessions with 2 week intervals for long lasting effective results. You can visit the therapist for maintenance treatment every 4 to 5 months. WHAT TO EXPECT After your consultation, the therapist will use a custom cleanser based on your skin type to deep cleanse your skin to remove oil and debris. You will then be given a dermaplane treatment to remove excess skin, peach fuzz and alike. After Dermaplane, the therapist will apply a Stayve whitening serum to neutralise your skin and reestablish your skin’s optimal pH, reduce redness, and hydrate your skin. They will also apply a custom booster serum based on your skin requirements and use the microneedling pen to increase the effects of the treatment. They will choose a BB glow serum, based on your desired shade and infuse it into your skin using the microneedling pen. They will do this twice, then apply a bio silk mask over the BB glow serum to prevent your skin from drying out as well as to hydrate and soothe your skin. An LED mask will then be applied to assist in the absorption of products, and achieving better results. Finally a peptide repair cream will be massaged into the face to restore and soothe your treated skin. DOWN TIME There is no downtime and you can resume your normal activities. You may experience temporary tightness, redness, or irritation after the treatment. AFTERCARE ADVICE After the treatment, you will be unable to wash the face for 24 hours. Aftercare tips include: Avoid wearing makeup for 3 days Avoid sunbathing, including sunbeds Avoid using any scented skincare products Avoid saunas, hot tubs, hot showers and baths, and hairdryers for 48 hours (shower and bathe with room temperature water and use a hairdryer on medium to low setting) Avoid swimming for 7 days Avoid washing your face for 24 hours Avoid eating spicy food and seafood for 3 days Avoid using retinol products and vitamin C for 8 weeks Wear a moisturising cream with an SPF 30 or higher$135.00+1h 30minLed light therapy
