NO STARS! Let me start by saying I love my braids (once they were finally finished). The Owner Josey has terrible customer service. I scheduled an ap...pointment for 9:30am, I did not leave the salon until 7:30pm. I scheduled my appointment on this website. She started on my hair an hour late at 10:30. She stopped doing my hair at least four times to start on another person hair. Without getting into all the details let me just say I saw at least seven people come in after me and finish before me. I wanted this experience to be the highlight of my vacation. I always wanted to come to Atlanta to get my hair done. I feel I was treated this way because she knew I was from out of town. Show more

I've been a loyal customer of Josey Hair Braiding shop for over a year. Recently, I had an issue with my braids, but Josey and her staff handled it ex...ceptionally well. When I reached out to Josey after my appointment, she promptly called me back. There was no attitude, no blame-shifting - just a willingness to listen and make things right. Upon returning to the shop to resolve the issue, I was greeted with kindness and respect. The staff was apologetic and did an excellent job fixing my braids. They treated me with care, ensuring that my braids were to my liking . I left extremely happy and pleased with the new results and how I was treated and cared for. I highly recommend Josey's Hair Braiding shop to anyone seeking quality braiding services. The shop is clean, the owner and staff are friendly, and their work is impeccable. The space is very clean and nicely decorated. Josey asked me what color I wanted and suggested another option and showed me. I agreed it was better th...an what I requested. They were very fast with my knotless box braids and did a great job cleaning up stray hairs, etc once finished. Overall, it was a great experience and I will return again in the future. Show more

This was the worst experience I have ever had. I reached out to this person on Instagram inquiring about booking a braiding service for my daughter. S...he informed me that I needed to book my appointment through “Booksy” she told me that ONLY the sew in hairstyles didn't include hair and I would need to bring that with me. I arrived for my 4:00 PM appointment at 3:40 PM. I came in and said hello I'm here for a 4:00 PM. She rudely told me to sit to the side. I took a seat then when I was observing I realized that none of the braiders were even close to being done in time for a 4:00 pm appointment. I went to the owner and asked how long the wait would be and she said its “walk ins only” I said no I made an appointment and she said that's not really an appointment its only walk ins. I said why would you instruct me to make an appointment if it was walk in only. That means I could have come any time any day instead of waiting for this day and time and your still not ready. She then ask me is this your first time here??? I said yes!!! I then thought let me go ahead and confirm the price because if the appointment thig is a shame the price is too. I asked her how much it would be for fulunai knotless with boho she said $240 she said the boho was not included and that would be an additional $85. So I'm really pissed now I'm like why didn't you discussed this prior when I reached out with a pic of the hairstyle. I then asked her if I could buy my own boho hair. She said yes and told me where the hair store was. I left it took me 8 mins to get there. I found hair sent a pic to my daughter to ask the owner of this would be enough hair. She told my daughter she didn't know and if I wasnt back in a minute I would loose my appointment spot. What appointment spot you just said it was walk ins. I told my daughter to leave and I would be back in 5 mins i will not do business with someone like this. If I could give this ugly unprofessional bitch no stars I would. Show more
